Job Overview:
The Chief Engineer will lead technical aspects of opportunities, proposals, and projects. Ensure deliverable/quality review process and metrics are performing. Guide and develop employees and managers on their individual technical career paths. Support service capability development through creating collateral, conducting Technology Excellence Demonstrators and pilot projects, and partnering with Sales and Managers on campaign initiatives.
What You Will Do:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead technical proposals to customers and support sales campaigns
- Conduct technical and deliverable reviews on work completed before delivery to customer
- Monitor the technical health of work packages
- Creation and maintain Standard Work and Work Instructions
- Conduct service-specific training
- Manage, update, and create and training material. Support training initiatives as needed
- Support root cause analyses and improvement actions
- Leverage technical knowledge to support pilot projects and lead Technical Excellence Demonstrators.
- Support technical capability assessments of the team members in your service
- Ensure the pool of technical reviewers is maintained for your program
- Participate in international communities in your field and build industry network
- Support hiring by conducting Technical interviews and training other technical interviewers
- Maintain metrics for technical delivery activities like on time delivery and right first time.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Drive the design and development of mechanical systems and components to meet customer requirements.
- Analyze and evaluate designs for strength, durability, and performance.
- Lead cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, quality control, and suppliers.
- Continuously improve design processes and methodologies.
- Stay current with industry standards and regulations.
- Mentor and train junior engineers.
- Represent the company in customer and industry meetings.
- Provide technical leadership and direction to the design engineering team.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering, or a related technical field
- 15-20 years of career experience
- Experience in leading technical development activities
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in leading project presentations
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Pay Range: $120,000-$150,000
Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.

15+ years experience with Aerospace Gas Turbine OEM, including technical leadership of work packages across the product lifecycle (Concept, Design, Development, Production & Service)
