Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Civil Site Project Engineer to lead the design of various types of development projects. This pivotal role involves overseeing staff engineers and guiding a project from conceptual design through approvals. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will drive project success by coordinating and managing staff tasks, and contributing with the design and production of site plans and design reports. The successful candidate must have a "can-do" attitude, an ability to work closely with others in a multi-disciplined environment, willingness to mentor junior level staff, and an ability to work on several projects with coinciding schedules. This role will report to the firm's Director of Civil Engineering.
Experience
- Proven experience in all aspects of design that is related to the preparation of site plan documents for submission to municipal, county, and state level jurisdictions.
- Extensive knowledge of New Jersey's stormwater management rules and Best Management Practices and the ability to apply these rules to projects.
- Knowledge and understanding of the land use entitlement and permit process.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively across multiple projects.
- Proficient with Civil 3D.
- Minimum 8 years experience in preparing site plans.
- New Jersey PE required.
