Clinical Data Analyst Jobs in Detroit: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a clinical data analyst job in Detroit?
Detroit's clinical data analyst market is driven by its large health systems, academic medical centers, and a growing cluster of clinical research organizations in Midtown and New Center. Candidates who combine SQL or SAS proficiency with hands-on experience in clinical trials or electronic health records move fastest here. Familiarity with healthcare data standards like HL7 or CDISC stands out with Detroit's pharma and CRO employers specifically.
Which companies hire clinical data analysts in Detroit?
Employers hiring clinical data analysts in Detroit right now include Rocket, Ally Financial, and Henry Ford Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Detroit's hiring base skews toward integrated health systems and academic hospital networks, alongside a smaller but active set of clinical research organizations tied to the region's pharmaceutical and biotech activity.
Are there remote clinical data analyst jobs in Detroit?
Yes, clinical data analysis is largely desk-based and analytical, which makes it well-suited to remote and hybrid arrangements compared to more hands-on clinical roles. About 43% of clinical data analyst openings tied to Detroit are remote or hybrid as of July 2026. Data cleaning, statistical programming, and reporting tasks are the functions most commonly offered remotely by Detroit-area employers.
How can I get a clinical data analyst job in Detroit with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Detroit is through a data coordinator or clinical research coordinator role at one of the city's hospital networks or academic medical centers, which routinely hire candidates with a health sciences or statistics background and train them on data systems. Wayne State University's clinical research programs also produce candidates that Detroit-area CROs and health systems actively recruit at the entry level.
Which industries hire the most clinical data analysts in Detroit?
Most clinical data analyst openings in Detroit sit in Consulting & Professional Services, Technology & Software, and Retail, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Detroit's concentration of large integrated health systems and its proximity to major Midwest pharmaceutical and contract research activity make those sectors the primary engine of local demand for this role.
