Clinical Research Associate Jobs in Phoenix: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a clinical research associate job in Phoenix?
Focus your search on Phoenix's contract research organizations, medical device companies, and the health systems clustered in the Midtown Medical District and along the Loop 101 corridor in Scottsdale. Candidates with GCP certification, prior site coordination experience, and familiarity with oncology or cardiology trials stand out in this market. Networking through Arizona's clinical trial site community and targeting mid-size CROs that staff locally gives you the strongest edge.
Which companies hire clinical research associates in Phoenix?
Phoenix clinical research associate roles are posted by CommonSpirit Health, Medpace, and DocTrials and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. The local market includes a mix of national CROs with Phoenix offices, regional medical device manufacturers, and large hospital-affiliated research departments tied to the Banner and Honor Health systems.
Are there remote clinical research associate jobs in Phoenix?
Yes, though opportunities depend heavily on the role, since on-site monitoring and patient-facing work must be conducted in person. About 50% of clinical research associate openings tied to Phoenix are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, skewing toward data management, regulatory affairs coordination, and sponsor-side oversight roles rather than site-based monitoring positions.
How can I get a clinical research associate job in Phoenix with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Phoenix is through a clinical research coordinator role at a local trial site, particularly within Banner Health or Honor Health's research departments, which regularly hire coordinators without extensive CRA experience. Volunteering or interning with Arizona State University's research programs, obtaining GCP certification, and targeting CRO associate positions that offer on-the-job monitoring training can bridge the gap to a full CRA role.
Which industries hire the most clinical research associates in Phoenix?
The sectors hiring the most clinical research associates in Phoenix are Healthcare & Medical Services and Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Phoenix's growing life sciences presence, anchored by large health systems, medical device firms expanding from the East Valley, and CROs serving a dense network of clinical trial sites, drives consistent demand across those sectors.
