Focus your search on University City, where Penn Medicine and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia anchor a large clinical operations ecosystem, and on Center City, where contract research organizations and specialty pharma firms cluster. Candidates with experience in oncology or rare disease trials tend to get more traction in Philadelphia's market. Regulatory affairs exposure and familiarity with FDA-adjacent processes also give applicants a concrete edge with the CROs concentrated here.
Which companies hire clinical researchs in Philadelphia?

The local market includes a strong mix of academic medical centers, independent research hospitals, and mid-size contract research organizations that run multi-site trials across the region.
Are there remote clinical research jobs in Philadelphia?
Yes, though remote availability depends heavily on the role: hands-on positions like clinical research coordinators and phlebotomists are almost always on-site, while data management, regulatory affairs, and clinical monitoring roles are far more likely to be flexible. About 48% of clinical research openings tied to Philadelphia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with the highest share among CRO-based monitoring and data roles.
How can I get a clinical research job in Philadelphia with little or no experience?
