Players can wager through the TwinSpires desktop, mobile, and app-based advance-deposit wagering platforms as well as at retail locations and race tracks across the country.
JOB SUMMARY
The Social Media Marketing Community Manager serves as the online voice of TwinSpires Racing, driving engagement and brand awareness across social media platforms. This role is responsible for executing social media strategy, creating and managing content, engaging with the horse racing and betting community, supporting campaigns, and delivering timely, trend driven content that connects with audiences and drives performance. The ideal candidate is someone who is regularly online, tuned into horse racing culture, can develop and respond to a trending meme on the fly, and can communicate with bettors on social. Due to the nature of live racing events and audience engagement, this role regularly operates on a Wednesday through Sunday schedule, including nights, weekends, and event coverage, as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage day to day social media activity across platforms including X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, and other relevant channels.
- Create, schedule, publish, and monitor engaging social content including copy, graphics, video, and promotional messaging.
- Maintain and manage organic social media content calendars across multiple platforms.
- Monitor social channels for audience engagement, trends, and brand interactions, responding as appropriate in a timely manner.
- Support the execution of social media campaigns in partnership with internal teams, external agencies, and creative resources.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Talent, and Creative teams to develop timely, engaging, and brand aligned content.
- Provide live social media coverage during major racing events, including nights, weekends, and onsite event support as needed.
- Stay current on social media trends, emerging platforms, audience behavior, and horse racing culture to identify new engagement opportunities.
- Promote key racing events, wagering opportunities, payouts, and other brand initiatives through strategic social storytelling.
- Track and report on social media performance, engagement metrics, and campaign results.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
- 1+ years experience working in social media.
- Strong communication, written skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and a good attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and make well thought out decisions.
- A deep passion for and deep expertise in social media marketing (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).
- Experience running business pages/accounts and developing social campaigns that spark buzz across Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and beyond.
- Familiarity with social media software tools (Sprinklr, Falcon, Hootsuite, Sprout, etc.).
- Experience working in Sports and/or horse racing preferred.
- Ability to be licensed as an Employee by various racing and gaming jurisdictions in which we operate, as required.
- Authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis.
