About the Role
The Production Coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating daily manufacturing activities to ensure efficient production flow and on-time delivery. This role acts as a key link between production, engineering, materials, and quality teams to maintain smooth operations, accurate documentation, and effective communication across departments.
Production Scheduling & Planning:
- Coordinate daily and weekly production schedules based on demand, capacity, and resource availability.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to meet changing priorities or resolve bottlenecks.
- Communicate schedule updates and priorities to production supervisors and team leads.
Material & Resource Coordination:
- Ensure all materials, tools, and components are available for scheduled production runs.
- Collaborate with purchasing and inventory teams to manage shortages or delays.
- Track and report material usage, scrap, and production variances.
Workflow & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate production records, work orders, and job travelers.
- Verify that production documentation (drawings, BOMs, instructions) is current and properly distributed.
- Support the implementation of new or revised work instructions.
Communication & Collaboration:
- Serve as the liaison between production, quality, engineering, and logistics to resolve issues quickly.
- Participate in daily production meetings and provide updates on progress and challenges.
- Support cross-functional improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and output.
Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure production activities comply with company quality standards and safety policies.
- Report nonconformances and assist in implementing corrective actions.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement:
- Track and report key production metrics such as schedule adherence, output, and downtime.
- Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and workflow.
What you'll Bring
- 2–4 years of experience in production coordination, scheduling, or manufacturing operations.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning principles.
- Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively under pressure.
