Frame your degree around operational roles
Aggreko's Management Trainee path leans heavily on engineering, operations, or supply chain backgrounds. Align your resume and application to field-based competencies like equipment deployment, logistics coordination, or energy systems rather than generic business skills.
Target Aggreko's rotational program structure
Aggreko rotates trainees across business functions including project operations, sales, and fleet management. Research which regional offices run active rotations and apply directly to those locations, since hiring timelines and sponsorship decisions are often made at the regional level.
Activate OPT early if you are an F-1 student
USCIS recommends filing your OPT application up to 90 days before your program end date. Starting employment on OPT gives Aggreko time to evaluate your fit before committing to an H-1B petition, which matters for a trainee role where performance drives retention decisions.
Confirm LCA filing before accepting an H-1B offer
Before you sign an offer, ask whether Aggreko has already filed the Labor Condition Application with DOL for your specific role and location. A certified LCA is a prerequisite to your H-1B petition and delays at this stage can push your start date past the cap registration window.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open Management Trainee roles
Aggreko posts Management Trainee openings across multiple U.S. regions, and availability shifts frequently. Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsorship-eligible roles at Aggreko so you are applying to positions where the sponsorship pathway is already confirmed, not assumed.
Prepare documentation that supports a specialty occupation claim
Management Trainee roles can face USCIS scrutiny over whether they qualify as specialty occupations. Gather evidence that your position requires a specific degree field, such as engineering or business, and request that Aggreko's immigration counsel builds that case clearly into the H-1B petition.

Find Management Trainee at Aggreko JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Aggreko sponsor H-1B visas for Management Trainees?
Yes, Aggreko has sponsored H-1B visas for Management Trainee roles. Because this position can involve cross-functional rotations in operations, sales, and logistics, the employer's immigration counsel typically needs to document how the role meets the specialty occupation standard under USCIS criteria. Candidates with engineering or technical business degrees tend to have the strongest petition profiles for this role type.
Which visa types are commonly used for Management Trainee roles at Aggreko?
Aggreko sponsors H-1B visas and also accepts F-1 OPT and CPT for Management Trainee positions, making the role accessible at multiple points in a candidate's immigration journey. TN classification is also sponsored, which is relevant for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose degree and job duties align with a qualifying TN category such as Engineer or Management Consultant.
What qualifications does Aggreko expect for Management Trainee candidates?
Aggreko's Management Trainee program is designed for candidates with a bachelor's degree, typically in engineering, business, or a related technical field. Rotational programs in the rental and leasing sector prioritize hands-on problem-solving, so prior internship experience in operations, field services, or industrial environments strengthens your application significantly over purely academic credentials.
How do I apply for Management Trainee jobs at Aggreko?
You can find and apply for Management Trainee positions at Aggreko through Migrate Mate, which lists verified sponsorship-eligible openings so you can confirm visa support before applying. Aggreko also posts roles on its own careers page. Applications typically require a resume, cover letter, and may include an early-stage video or phone screen before moving to in-person or panel interviews with regional hiring managers.
How do I plan my timeline for H-1B sponsorship through Aggreko?
USCIS opens H-1B cap registration each March for an October 1 start date, so you need a confirmed offer well before that window. If you are on F-1 OPT, your 12-month authorization should overlap with the registration period. Cap-exempt filing scenarios do not apply to standard Management Trainee roles, so timing your offer and registration accurately is critical to avoiding a gap in work authorization.
