Target technical and engineering roles
Aggreko's core business involves deploying complex power and temperature control systems, so engineering and technical operations roles are the most likely pathways to visa sponsorship. Focus your application on positions requiring specialized skills aligned with that work.
Understand the Rental & Leasing industry context
Aggreko operates in project-driven, field-intensive environments. Roles tied to equipment deployment, energy solutions, and industrial operations tend to be where the company invests most heavily in specialized talent, including international candidates who need H-1B or TN sponsorship.
Apply early in Aggreko's hiring cycle
H-1B sponsorship requires lead time for Labor Condition Application filing and USCIS processing. Reaching out to Aggreko's talent team well before the April H-1B cap season gives both sides the best chance of aligning your offer letter with the petition timeline.
Highlight relevant credentials if you're on OPT or CPT
Aggreko has sponsored F-1 OPT and CPT candidates, so students and recent graduates in engineering or energy-related fields should make their practical training authorization clear upfront. Employers in this sector often bridge OPT to H-1B for strong performers.
Canadian and Mexican nationals should raise TN eligibility early
Aggreko sponsors TN visas, which is a faster and simpler path for qualifying Canadian and Mexican professionals. If you hold citizenship from either country and work in an eligible profession, flag your TN eligibility early in conversations with Aggreko's recruiters.
Use a verified sponsor database to find open roles
Not every Aggreko job listing will mention sponsorship explicitly. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and focus your search on companies like Aggreko that have a documented track record of supporting international candidates.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Aggreko sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Aggreko does sponsor H-1B visas. The company has filed H-1B petitions for international workers, primarily in technical and engineering-related roles that align with its temporary power and energy solutions business. While Aggreko is not among the highest-volume H-1B sponsors overall, it has a documented history of supporting skilled foreign nationals through the H-1B process.
Which visa types does Aggreko sponsor?
Aggreko sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas. This range makes the company accessible to a variety of international candidates, from students on practical training to Canadian and Mexican professionals eligible for TN status. The visa type offered typically depends on the role, the candidate's nationality, and current business needs.
Which departments or roles at Aggreko are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Roles in engineering, power systems, field operations, and technical project management are the most likely sponsorship candidates at Aggreko, given the company's focus on deploying temporary power and temperature control solutions across industrial and energy sectors. Corporate functions such as finance or procurement are less commonly sponsored but not ruled out for highly specialized candidates.
How do I find visa-sponsored job openings at Aggreko?
Aggreko posts openings through its careers page, but listings don't always specify sponsorship eligibility. Migrate Mate tracks verified sponsorship data so you can browse Aggreko roles and other confirmed sponsors in one place without guessing which employers will actually support your visa. Filtering by visa type helps you find positions where your work authorization is already accounted for.
How do I approach the application timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at Aggreko?
If you need H-1B sponsorship, timing is critical. The annual H-1B cap lottery typically opens in March for an October 1 start date. You'll want to secure an offer from Aggreko by late February at the latest to allow time for your employer to file the registration. If you're already on OPT, your employer can file immediately and bridge your status until H-1B activation.
