Target corporate and technology roles
Hertz's visa sponsorship activity is concentrated in corporate functions, technology, and data roles rather than frontline rental operations. Focus your search on positions in IT, analytics, finance, and operations management to find the strongest sponsorship opportunities.
Apply early in Hertz's hiring cycle
H-1B cap-subject roles require USCIS lottery registration in March. To meet that window, you'll need an offer well before then. Targeting Hertz openings in the fall and early winter gives your application the best chance of clearing internal approvals in time.
Emphasize relevant industry experience
Hertz operates in a competitive, operationally complex industry. Candidates with backgrounds in fleet management, logistics, pricing strategy, or enterprise technology relevant to rental and leasing operations will stand out when sponsorship decisions are being made.
Filter by verified sponsors before applying
Not every Hertz job listing will explicitly mention sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you prioritize Hertz roles where international candidates have a documented track record of being sponsored.
Prepare for a structured corporate hiring process
Hertz uses a multi-stage interview process for professional roles. Be ready to discuss your visa status clearly and early. Sponsorship-ready employers like Hertz expect candidates to understand their own timeline, so come prepared with your OPT expiry date or current status details.

Find Hertz JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Hertz sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Hertz sponsors H-1B visas. The company has a consistent track record of filing H-1B petitions, primarily for corporate and technology roles based at its headquarters and regional offices. If you're targeting Hertz on H-1B, focus on professional functions like IT, data, finance, and operations rather than customer-facing or hourly positions.
Which visa types does Hertz sponsor?
Hertz sponsors H-1B visas, Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based categories, F-1 OPT, and TN visas. This range of visa types means Hertz is a viable employer for candidates at multiple stages of their U.S. immigration journey, from OPT holders seeking their first sponsored role to professionals pursuing permanent residence.
Which departments or roles at Hertz are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Hertz is most common in corporate and technology departments. Roles in software engineering, data analytics, finance, pricing, and operations management have the strongest precedent for sponsorship. Customer service, retail branch, and hourly operations roles are generally not sponsored. Candidates with specialized skills in fleet technology or enterprise systems are particularly well positioned.
How do I find visa-sponsored jobs at Hertz?
The most efficient approach is to search on Migrate Mate, which verifies sponsorship history by employer so you can confirm Hertz's track record before applying. From there, filter by visa type to match your current status. This saves time compared to reviewing job listings that don't disclose sponsorship intent upfront.
How do I time my application to Hertz for H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start date, which means USCIS lottery registration happens in March. Hertz needs time to process an offer and initiate legal filings before that window. Targeting Hertz roles between October and January gives you the best chance of securing an offer early enough to meet the H-1B filing deadline.
