Job Roles at Hertz Companies
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Hertz Visa Sponsorship USA
Target corporate and technology roles first
Hertz's sponsored positions tend to concentrate in corporate functions like IT, finance, and operations rather than frontline rental staff. Focus your search on headquarters and regional office roles where visa sponsorship is far more common across the Rental & Leasing sector.
Understand Hertz's H-1B and Green Card pathway
Hertz sponsors both H-1B and employment-based Green Cards, meaning there's a documented path from temporary work authorization to permanent residency. When interviewing, ask about the company's history of supporting employees through the full immigration lifecycle, not just initial sponsorship.
Canadian and Mexican candidates should flag TN eligibility
Hertz sponsors TN visas, which process faster and carry lower cost than H-1B. If you're a Canadian or Mexican national in a qualifying professional category, leading with TN eligibility can make you a significantly easier hire for a Rental & Leasing employer managing tight timelines.
Apply well ahead of the H-1B registration window
The H-1B lottery opens in March each year, but Hertz needs time to evaluate candidates, confirm sponsorship approval internally, and prepare filings. Target Hertz roles between October and January to give hiring managers enough runway to commit before registration deadlines arrive.
Use Migrate Mate to verify Hertz's current open roles
Sponsorship willingness can shift with hiring cycles and budget changes. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and see which Hertz positions are actively listed, rather than applying to roles where sponsorship is uncertain.

Does Hertz sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Hertz sponsors H-1B visas. The company has a documented track record of H-1B filings, primarily for corporate and technical roles rather than operational or frontline positions. If you're targeting Hertz for H-1B sponsorship, focus on roles in IT, finance, analytics, or operations management where sponsorship is most consistently supported.
What visa types does Hertz sponsor?
Hertz sponsors H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT visas, and also supports employment-based Green Card applications including EB-2 and EB-3 categories. This range means Hertz can support international employees from initial work authorization through to permanent residency, which is relatively comprehensive for a company in the Rental & Leasing industry.
Which departments or roles at Hertz typically receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Hertz tends to align with corporate and specialized functions, including information technology, data and analytics, finance, and supply chain or fleet operations. Roles requiring industry-specific expertise or technical credentials are the most consistent sponsorship candidates. Customer-facing or hourly operational roles are far less likely to come with visa sponsorship support.
What does the sponsorship application timeline look like at Hertz?
For H-1B candidates, the process typically begins with a job offer several months before the March registration window. Hertz works with external immigration counsel to prepare filings, and the timeline from offer to work authorization can span six to twelve months depending on lottery selection and USCIS processing. TN candidates generally move faster, sometimes within weeks of an offer being extended.
How do I find open visa-sponsored roles at Hertz?
The most reliable approach is to search through a platform that tracks verified sponsorship history rather than relying on job descriptions alone, which rarely confirm sponsorship explicitly. Migrate Mate lists Hertz openings filtered by actual sponsorship data, so you can identify which roles align with your visa type and apply with confidence that sponsorship is genuinely on the table.
