Align your background with ADAS validation work
Applied Intuition's Systems Engineer roles typically require experience with simulation, sensor integration, or vehicle-level testing. Framing your resume around autonomous systems pipelines, HIL/SIL environments, or functional safety standards will resonate more than general embedded experience.
Confirm E-3 or TN eligibility before applying
If you're Australian or Canadian, Applied Intuition sponsors E-3 and TN visas for engineering roles, which skip the H-1B lottery entirely. Confirm your citizenship and degree field map to a specialty occupation before your recruiter screen so you can raise it early.
Prepare your OPT or CPT documentation proactively
F-1 candidates should have their SEVIS record, I-20, and EAD card ready before an offer is extended. Applied Intuition uses E-Verify, so your work authorization must be active and verifiable on day one with no gaps.
Ask specifically about H-1B cap-exempt pathways
If you've already been counted against the H-1B cap at a previous employer, your new petition at Applied Intuition is cap-exempt. Clarify your prior H-1B history with the recruiting team so they route your petition correctly from the start.
Browse open Systems Engineer roles using Migrate Mate
Applied Intuition posts Systems Engineer openings across simulation, integration, and test domains at different seniority levels. Use Migrate Mate to filter current roles by visa type so you only spend time on positions that match your authorization status.
Anticipate a longer offer-to-start timeline for H-1B transfers
If you're transferring an existing H-1B to Applied Intuition, your employer can file a portability petition and you can start once USCIS receives it, typically within a few business days of filing. Factor in DOL Labor Condition Application certification time, which runs three to seven business days, before negotiating your start date.

Does Applied Intuition sponsor H-1B visas for Systems Engineers?
Yes, Applied Intuition sponsors H-1B visas for Systems Engineer roles. Systems engineering positions in autonomous vehicle software development qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS criteria, requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or computer science field. If you're already on an H-1B, a transfer petition can be filed so you're authorized to work once USCIS receives it.
How do I apply for Systems Engineer jobs at Applied Intuition?
You can find current Systems Engineer openings at Applied Intuition through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can identify positions that match your work authorization. Applied Intuition's hiring process typically includes a recruiter screen, technical assessments covering systems design and integration, and panel interviews with engineering teams. Raising your visa status early in the process helps the recruiting team plan the sponsorship timeline alongside your offer.
Which visa types does Applied Intuition commonly use for Systems Engineer roles?
Applied Intuition sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, TN, J-1, and F-1 OPT and CPT for Systems Engineer positions, as well as immigrant pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. Australian citizens can use the E-3, which has no lottery and allows two-year renewable terms. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN status. F-1 students with STEM OPT extensions get up to three years of work authorization before an H-1B is needed.
What qualifications and experience does Applied Intuition expect for Systems Engineer roles?
Applied Intuition's Systems Engineer roles typically require a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer engineering, or a closely related field. Hands-on experience with simulation environments, sensor fusion, vehicle communication protocols like CAN or Ethernet, or functional safety standards such as ISO 26262 is commonly expected. Roles at senior levels often require prior autonomous systems or ADAS development experience rather than adjacent industries.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Systems Engineer offer at Applied Intuition?
For H-1B transfers, Applied Intuition can file a portability petition and you can start once USCIS receives it, typically within days. For new H-1B cap filings, the lottery runs in March for an October 1 start, so timing your job search around that window matters. E-3 and TN petitions are faster, often processed at a U.S. consulate or port of entry within weeks. DOL Labor Condition Application certification, required before any H-1B or E-3 filing, runs three to seven business days.
