Target technical and R&D roles
Arkema's sponsorship activity centers on science and engineering functions. Roles in chemical engineering, materials science, polymer research, and process development align most closely with the specialty occupation standard required for H-1B and Green Card sponsorship.
Align your degree to the role
Specialty occupation requirements are strictly enforced in chemicals and materials. Make sure your degree field directly matches the position you're applying for, a chemistry or materials engineering degree carries more weight than a general science background.
Apply early in the hiring cycle
Because Arkema sponsors a limited number of visas annually, competition for sponsored roles is meaningful. Applying in the fall or early new year gives you the best chance of being considered before headcount decisions are finalized.
Research Arkema's U.S. sites before applying
Arkema operates multiple U.S. facilities, including locations in Pennsylvania and Texas. Understanding which site is hiring and what that facility specializes in helps you tailor your application to the team most likely to sponsor your visa.
Use a platform that filters by real sponsorship history
Not all job boards surface whether a company actually sponsors visas. Migrate Mate verifies sponsorship history so you can find Arkema roles with confidence that sponsorship is genuinely on the table for qualified candidates.

Find Arkema JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Arkema sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Arkema sponsors H-1B visas for qualified candidates in technical and engineering roles. Sponsorship is selective rather than high-volume, so it tends to go to candidates in specialty occupation positions where the degree requirement is clear and the role directly matches their field of study. Chemical engineers, materials scientists, and research-focused professionals are among those most likely to be considered.
Which visa types does Arkema sponsor?
Arkema sponsors H-1B and Green Card pathways, including EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories. The company also works with F-1 OPT and CPT holders and sponsors TN visas for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals. Coverage across both nonimmigrant and immigrant categories makes Arkema a viable long-term option for candidates seeking a path to permanent residence.
Which departments or roles at Arkema are most likely to offer visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Arkema is concentrated in technical functions: chemical engineering, process engineering, polymer science, materials research, and manufacturing technology. Corporate functions like finance or HR are less commonly sponsored. If your background is in specialty chemicals, coatings, adhesives, or advanced materials, your profile aligns well with where Arkema's sponsorship activity is historically strongest.
How do I find open roles at Arkema that include visa sponsorship?
The most reliable approach is to use Migrate Mate, which filters job listings by verified sponsorship history so you can see Arkema openings where sponsorship is a real possibility. From there, focus on roles in R&D, engineering, or manufacturing operations, and apply directly through Arkema's careers portal with a cover letter that addresses your visa situation and timeline upfront.
How do I approach the application timeline when targeting Arkema for H-1B sponsorship?
If you need H-1B cap sponsorship, timing is critical. USCIS opens the H-1B registration window in March each year for an October 1 start date. You'll want a job offer in hand by February at the latest. For roles starting outside the cap cycle, Arkema may be able to file as cap-exempt in limited circumstances, but most new hires go through the annual lottery process.
