INTRODUCTION
The future isn’t just about technology - it’s about people and the limitless possibilities AI can unlock for us all. As AI transforms how we live, work, and connect, Arm is at its very foundation, powering the innovations that are shaping our world.
Arm’s Cloud AI team is building next-generation platforms to power the AI workloads of tomorrow, and we’re growing our product management organization to help guide this journey. This is an opportunity to help shape the product direction of a major strategic investment while also helping build a new team and culture.
As a member of the team, you’ll own competitive and performance insights that directly shape product and roadmap decisions for AI compute platforms. You’ll be responsible for leading deep competitive and performance analysis across platforms and critical customer workloads and translating those into actionable insights for our engineering and executive partners. We’re looking for deeply technical, independent product leaders who thrive in ambiguity and can move seamlessly between product definition, system-level problem solving, technical analysis, and partner & customer engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Own competitive and performance analysis for AI compute platforms across hardware, software, and services
- Identify key workload-driven performance gaps and translate them into product and engineering priorities
- Inform product roadmap and tradeoffs through data-driven insights across system layers
- Drive alignment across teams on where and how to improve system performance and competitiveness
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Strong understanding of datacenter AI workloads and hardware & software infrastructure
- Experience analyzing and comparing performance of complex compute systems (hardware & software) and translating insights into product or engineering direction
- Strong systems thinking - ability to reason across system layers and understand end-to-end system behavior
- Proven ability to drive ambiguous, multi-functional problems to resolution, including making product tradeoffs
- 6+ years of experience in product management, systems or solution engineering, or related product leadership role
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical or Computer Engineering
“NICE TO HAVE” SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working with ML accelerators
- Hands-on experience building or running GenAI workloads at scale
- Experience with competitive analysis across AI compute platforms and customer workloads
- Masters or PhD degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
IN RETURN:
Help shape products that will define the future of AI compute and define what world-class product management looks like in AI infrastructure. You’ll grow as a leader and technical voice — and help ensure Arm delivers the products our customers need today and the platforms that will power tomorrow.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Engineering Jobs at Arm Jobs
Align your portfolio to Arm's IP model
Arm licenses processor architecture rather than manufacturing chips, so hiring managers prioritize RTL design, microarchitecture, and SoC integration experience over fab-side skills. Tailor your resume and projects to reflect that distinction before applying.
Target roles tied to active product lines
Arm's open Engineering requisitions cluster around specific CPU and GPU product generations. Applying to roles attached to a named product line signals genuine fit and increases the likelihood that a hiring team will initiate sponsorship paperwork quickly.
Research Arm's LCA filings before your interview
The DOL's FLAG system publishes Labor Condition Application data by employer and job title. Reviewing Arm's recent LCA disclosures tells you which Engineering specialties they've sponsored and the prevailing wage levels attached to those positions.
Clarify your visa category early in the process
Arm sponsors multiple visa types for Engineering hires, including H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT. Knowing your eligible category before the offer stage lets you ask targeted questions about timelines and avoids delays once the recruiter involves immigration counsel.
Plan around the H-1B cap if you're on OPT
If you're completing F-1 OPT and need cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, USCIS registration opens in March with an October 1 start date. Confirm your OPT end date and STEM extension eligibility before accepting an offer so Arm's immigration team can sequence the filing correctly.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Engineering roles
Finding Engineering positions at companies with a real sponsorship track record takes more than a general job board search. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for visa-sponsoring employers in the Electronics and Hardware space and identify active Arm openings.

Find Engineering at Arm JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Arm sponsor H-1B visas for Engineers?
Yes, Arm sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering roles across disciplines including CPU microarchitecture, GPU design, and embedded software. Sponsorship is handled through Arm's internal immigration team working with outside counsel. If you're subject to the H-1B cap, timing your application around the annual March registration window is critical to securing an October 1 start date.
How do I apply for Engineering jobs at Arm?
Applications go through Arm's careers portal. Search by discipline such as CPU design, physical implementation, or firmware engineering, and filter by location since Arm's U.S. Engineering headcount is concentrated in Austin, San Jose, and Raleigh. You can also browse verified open roles with sponsorship filters on Migrate Mate before applying directly through Arm's site.
Which visa types does Arm commonly use for Engineering hires?
Arm sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and EB-2 or EB-3 immigrant visas for Engineering positions. Australian citizens are eligible for the E-3, which has no lottery and can be processed directly at a U.S. consulate. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN status. Your nationality and degree field determine which categories apply.
What qualifications does Arm expect for Engineering roles?
Most Engineering roles at Arm require a bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. Semiconductor-specific skills carry significant weight, particularly RTL design in Verilog or SystemVerilog, computer architecture knowledge, and experience with industry-standard EDA tools. Research and advanced architecture positions often expect a PhD or equivalent industry publications.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for an Arm Engineering offer?
Timeline depends on visa category. E-3 and TN petitions can be processed at a consulate or port of entry within weeks of receiving an offer. H-1B sponsorship requires cap registration in March and a start date no earlier than October 1, so there can be a gap of six or more months between offer and day one. USCIS premium processing is available for H-1B petitions when faster adjudication is needed.
