Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Customer Service Jobs at ARUP Laboratories Jobs
Frame your credentials around clinical workflows
ARUP serves hospitals, clinics, and health systems, so customer service roles involve interpreting test orders, handling specimen inquiries, and supporting clinicians. Highlight any experience with medical terminology, laboratory information systems, or healthcare call center environments in your resume and cover letter.
Target ARUP's Salt Lake City operations directly
ARUP's headquarters and primary operations are based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Most customer service openings are concentrated there, so tailor your applications to that location and research the specific teams, such as client services or reference laboratory support, before reaching out.
Search open roles through Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters job listings by visa sponsorship type, so you can surface active Customer Service openings at ARUP that explicitly support H-1B, TN, or OPT candidates without sorting through positions that won't lead to sponsorship.
Clarify OPT authorization timing with your recruiter early
If you're on F-1 OPT, ARUP participates in E-Verify, which is required to access the 24-month STEM OPT extension. Confirm at the offer stage whether your customer service role qualifies under a STEM-designated degree, since this affects how much runway you have before an H-1B petition is needed.
Understand ARUP's LCA filing and prevailing wage obligations
Before USCIS approves an H-1B petition, your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL confirming your offered wage meets prevailing wage levels for customer service roles in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. Ask HR which wage level they intend to certify at before you negotiate.
Plan around the H-1B cap lottery if you're not cap-exempt
ARUP is not a cap-exempt institution, so standard H-1B sponsorship is subject to the annual lottery with registrations opening each March. If you're between OPT and lottery selection, map out your authorized work period against USCIS processing timelines to identify whether a cap-gap or bridge period applies to you.

Does ARUP Laboratories sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Service?
Yes, ARUP Laboratories sponsors H-1B visas, including for roles in its customer service function. Because ARUP is not a cap-exempt institution, H-1B petitions are subject to the annual USCIS lottery. Candidates on F-1 OPT typically need to register in the March lottery window to maintain work authorization continuity after OPT expires.
How do I apply for Customer Service jobs at ARUP Laboratories?
Applications go through ARUP's careers portal on their official website. Most Customer Service openings are based at ARUP's Salt Lake City headquarters. When applying, tailor your materials to clinical support environments and flag your visa status early in the process so ARUP's HR team can assess sponsorship eligibility before advancing you to interviews.
Which visa types does ARUP Laboratories commonly use for Customer Service roles?
ARUP sponsors a range of visa categories for international employees, including H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students. For longer-term employment pathways, ARUP has also supported EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship. TN status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories without a lottery requirement.
What qualifications does ARUP Laboratories expect for Customer Service roles?
ARUP's customer service teams support clinical laboratory operations, so relevant experience typically includes healthcare call centers, medical office coordination, or laboratory client services. Familiarity with medical terminology, specimen handling inquiries, or laboratory information systems is a practical differentiator. A bachelor's degree is often preferred, particularly for roles that may require H-1B sponsorship as a specialty occupation.
How do I find Customer Service roles at ARUP Laboratories that offer visa sponsorship?
The most direct approach is to use Migrate Mate, which filters job listings by visa sponsorship type so you can identify active ARUP Customer Service openings that support H-1B, OPT, or TN candidates. This saves you from applying to postings where sponsorship isn't available and lets you focus your effort on positions where ARUP has an established sponsorship track record.
