Verify Your Nursing License Transfers Correctly
ARUP operates in Utah, so your RN license must be validated through the Utah Division of Professional Licensing before any offer can proceed. If you hold a compact state license, confirm Utah's Nurse Licensure Compact status applies to your situation.
Target ARUP's Laboratory Nursing Specializations
ARUP's Nursing roles often support clinical lab operations, phlebotomy oversight, and patient care coordination rather than traditional bedside nursing. Tailor your application materials to reflect lab-adjacent clinical experience, which directly matches their operational model.
Use Migrate Mate to Track Open Nursing Roles
ARUP's sponsored Nursing openings don't always surface on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for ARUP Laboratories Nursing roles that include visa sponsorship, so you're applying to positions already screened for immigration support.
Prepare CGFNS Certification Before Applying
Internationally trained nurses typically need Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools certification to qualify for U.S. licensure. Getting this credential in process before your interview signals to ARUP's hiring team that you're sponsorship-ready, not sponsorship-pending.
Understand How H-1B Timing Affects Your Start Date
H-1B cap-subject petitions have an October 1 start date. If ARUP extends an offer in the spring lottery cycle, you may need to bridge the gap with F-1 OPT or another authorized status. Confirm your current status expiry against USCIS filing timelines before accepting.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope During the Offer Stage
Ask ARUP's HR team whether sponsorship covers only the initial H-1B or extends through permanent residence via EB-2 or EB-3 PERM. Knowing whether the company initiates PERM filings for Nursing staff directly affects your long-term immigration planning.

Find Nursing at ARUP Laboratories JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does ARUP Laboratories sponsor H-1B visas for Nursings?
Yes, ARUP Laboratories sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Nursing roles. Because Nursing must meet the H-1B specialty occupation standard, your specific role and degree credentials matter. ARUP's HR and legal teams evaluate each case individually, so confirming sponsorship scope for your exact position during the offer stage is the right move.
Which visa types are commonly used for Nursing roles at ARUP Laboratories?
ARUP has sponsored H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Nursing roles. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nurses in qualifying classifications. EB-3 is the most common permanent residence route for registered nurses, typically requiring a PERM labor certification filed by the employer.
What qualifications and experience does ARUP Laboratories expect for Nursing roles?
ARUP typically looks for an active RN license valid in Utah, a relevant nursing degree, and clinical experience that aligns with their laboratory and patient services environment. Internationally trained nurses generally need CGFNS certification and a credential evaluation confirming degree equivalency to U.S. standards before licensure and sponsorship can proceed.
How do I apply for Nursing jobs at ARUP Laboratories?
Browse open Nursing roles on Migrate Mate to filter specifically for ARUP Laboratories positions that include visa sponsorship. Once you identify a relevant opening, apply directly through ARUP's careers portal with your resume, nursing license details, and any credential evaluation documentation. Applying through roles already flagged for sponsorship saves you from pursuing positions where immigration support isn't confirmed.
How do I plan my timeline when pursuing H-1B sponsorship at ARUP Laboratories?
Cap-subject H-1B petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start date, so an offer from ARUP in the first quarter gives you the best window. If you're on F-1 OPT, your OPT end date and any STEM extension must cover the gap. USCIS premium processing can reduce approval wait times to roughly two weeks if ARUP elects that option.
