Align your stack with Audubon's project needs
Audubon staffs engineers on consulting engagements, so your resume should reflect project-based delivery experience, not just product development. Highlight systems integration, infrastructure, or client-facing technical work to match how their roles are framed.
Confirm sponsorship eligibility before applying
Audubon sponsors multiple visa categories, but not every open Software Engineer role will qualify for every visa type. Ask the recruiter early which visa pathways are supported for the specific position, since consulting roles can vary by contract structure.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsored openings fast
Audubon posts Software Engineer roles across multiple channels, but filtering for sponsorship-eligible positions manually is slow. Use Migrate Mate to browse Audubon's openings filtered by visa type so you're only applying to roles that match your immigration situation.
Understand how consulting contracts affect your LCA
In consulting, your work location can shift between client sites. DOL requires that a Labor Condition Application cover every worksite where you'll be placed. Confirm with your employer how they handle LCA amendments when project locations change.

Does Audubon Companies sponsor H-1B visas for Software Engineers?
Audubon Companies has sponsored work visas for Software Engineers, though H-1B sponsorship depends on the specific role, contract structure, and whether the position qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards. Consulting firms sometimes structure roles differently across engagements, so it's worth confirming H-1B eligibility directly with the recruiter for the position you're targeting.
Which visa types does Audubon Companies commonly use for Software Engineer roles?
Audubon Companies has supported Software Engineers through F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, J-1, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. The right visa depends on your nationality, degree, and where you are in the immigration process. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering roles, while EB-2 and EB-3 require PERM labor certification through the DOL.
What qualifications does Audubon Companies expect for Software Engineer positions?
Audubon typically hires Software Engineers with a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field. Given their consulting focus, they value engineers who can work across client environments, manage project deliverables, and adapt to varying technical stacks. Relevant professional experience in systems integration, software development, or infrastructure work strengthens your profile significantly.
How do I apply for Software Engineer jobs at Audubon Companies?
You can browse and apply for Software Engineer roles at Audubon Companies directly through Migrate Mate, which surfaces their sponsored openings filtered by visa type so you can find positions that match your immigration status. From there, apply through Audubon's official careers portal and follow up with the recruiter to confirm sponsorship availability for your specific visa category before advancing in the process.
How do I understand the timeline from offer to work authorization at Audubon Companies?
The timeline depends on your visa type. F-1 OPT can take up to 90 days for USCIS to process, so your start date needs to account for that. TN status can be obtained at the border in a single day for Canadian nationals. For EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, the PERM process with DOL typically takes six months or more before USCIS even reviews the petition, so plan well in advance.
