Translate healthcare terminology into your resume
Baptist Health's Customer Support roles often require familiarity with medical billing, HIPAA compliance, or patient intake workflows. Frame prior service, call center, or administrative experience using healthcare-adjacent language so your application clears their initial screening.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment before your interview
As a large healthcare employer, Baptist Health South Florida participates in E-Verify. Verify this before your interview so you can confidently discuss your work authorization timeline and avoid surprises when the onboarding conversation turns to documentation.
Target roles explicitly listing multilingual requirements
Baptist Health's South Florida patient base is heavily Spanish-speaking. Customer Support postings that require bilingual fluency see less competition from candidates without sponsorship needs, giving you a stronger case for employer investment in your visa filing.
Ask HR specifically about EB-2 and EB-3 pathways
Baptist Health sponsors both EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card categories. During the offer stage, ask HR whether your role qualifies for PERM labor certification and what the internal timeline looks like so you're not negotiating blind after accepting the offer.

Does Baptist Health South Florida sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Supports?
Yes, Baptist Health South Florida sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Customer Support roles. The position typically needs to meet USCIS specialty occupation criteria, which means it should require at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Roles involving healthcare administration, medical billing, or specialized patient services are more likely to qualify than general call center positions. Discuss the specific role requirements with the recruiting team early in the process.
How do I apply for Customer Support jobs at Baptist Health South Florida?
Applications go through Baptist Health's careers portal at careers.baptisthealth.net. You can also browse sponsorship-eligible Customer Support openings at Baptist Health South Florida directly on Migrate Mate, which filters for roles open to visa candidates. When you apply, tailor your resume to highlight healthcare-relevant experience such as patient communication, insurance verification, or HIPAA-compliant data handling, since those details directly match what Baptist Health's hiring teams are screening for.
Which visa types does Baptist Health South Florida commonly use for Customer Support roles?
Baptist Health South Florida sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3 for Customer Support positions. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates, with H-1B sponsorship considered once the employer confirms the role meets specialty occupation standards.
What qualifications does Baptist Health South Florida expect for Customer Support roles?
Most Customer Support positions at Baptist Health require a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, communications, or a related field, particularly for roles that may qualify for H-1B sponsorship. Practical experience with patient-facing service, electronic health record systems, medical terminology, or insurance coordination strengthens your application significantly. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is an advantage given the health system's patient demographics across South Florida.
How do I time my application to avoid gaps in work authorization at Baptist Health South Florida?
If you're transitioning from F-1 OPT to H-1B, apply to Baptist Health well before your OPT expiration. H-1B cap petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start date, so you need an accepted offer and a sponsoring employer before March. If your OPT expires before October 1, a STEM OPT extension, if you qualify, can bridge the gap. Confirm the exact timing with USCIS guidelines and Baptist Health's HR team as early as the offer stage.
