Tailor your resume to healthcare administration
Baptist Health's administrative roles often require experience with medical scheduling, EHR systems, or clinical team coordination. Highlighting healthcare-specific tools like Epic or Cerner signals you understand the operational environment, not just general office work.
Verify your credential equivalency before applying
If your degree was earned outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved agency before submitting applications. Baptist Health's HR team needs to confirm your education meets the role's requirements before initiating any visa sponsorship process.
Target multi-site openings for broader opportunity
Baptist Health operates across numerous South Florida locations. Applying to openings at multiple facilities increases your chances significantly, since sponsorship decisions are often made at the facility level, not centrally across the entire health system.
Clarify sponsorship intent during the offer stage
Ask directly whether the specific role and facility support H-1B filing before accepting an offer. Some administrative positions at large health systems are approved for sponsorship while others are not, and that determination happens at the department level.
Browse open roles using Migrate Mate to filter by sponsorship
Administrative Assistant openings at Baptist Health get posted across multiple job boards without clear sponsorship labels. Use Migrate Mate to surface roles at Baptist Health South Florida that are tied to verified sponsorship activity, saving you time on outreach.
Understand TN and OPT timelines before your start date
If you're on F-1 OPT or pursuing a TN visa, your authorization window affects when you can realistically start. OPT has a 90-day unemployment limit and TN requires employer-specific documentation, so align your offer timeline with USCIS and DOL processing realities.

Find Administrative Assistant at Baptist Health South Florida JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Baptist Health South Florida sponsor H-1B visas for Administrative Assistants?
Yes, Baptist Health South Florida has a history of sponsoring H-1B visas for administrative roles. Sponsorship eligibility depends on whether the specific position qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which typically requires a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Roles involving healthcare coordination, compliance, or specialized administrative functions are more likely to qualify than general clerical positions.
How do I apply for Administrative Assistant jobs at Baptist Health South Florida?
Applications are submitted through Baptist Health South Florida's careers portal. You can also find and filter their open Administrative Assistant roles on Migrate Mate, which surfaces positions tied to verified sponsorship activity. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect healthcare-specific experience such as EHR systems, HIPAA compliance, or clinical team support, since these details carry weight in their hiring review.
Which visa types are commonly used for Administrative Assistant roles at Baptist Health South Florida?
Baptist Health South Florida has sponsored H-1B visas for administrative staff and has also worked with candidates on F-1 OPT and CPT, TN status for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. The right visa type depends on your nationality, degree field, and the specific duties of the role you're hired for.
What qualifications does Baptist Health South Florida expect for Administrative Assistant roles?
Most Administrative Assistant openings at Baptist Health expect at least an associate or bachelor's degree, with preference for candidates who have experience in healthcare settings. Familiarity with medical terminology, scheduling systems, and patient communication workflows is a practical advantage. Roles supporting clinical departments or executive leadership typically require stronger organizational and compliance-awareness skills than general administrative positions.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for an Administrative Assistant at Baptist Health South Florida?
Timeline depends on the visa type. H-1B sponsorship runs on USCIS's annual cap cycle, with the lottery in March and employment starting October 1 at the earliest. TN status can be processed at the border or port of entry within a single day. F-1 OPT authorization through USCIS typically takes three to five months from application, so planning your offer timing around these windows is essential.
