Tailor your resume to healthcare administration
Quest Diagnostics administrative roles often require familiarity with medical terminology, scheduling systems, and HIPAA compliance. Highlight any experience with electronic health records, patient-facing coordination, or laboratory support to stand out from general administrative applicants.
Target patient service center and regional openings
Quest operates hundreds of patient service centers nationally, and administrative openings outside major metros often attract fewer applicants. Roles in regional or suburban locations can move faster through the offer stage, giving you more lead time for sponsorship paperwork.
Ask recruiters about H-1B filing timelines directly
USCIS H-1B cap registration opens each March for an October 1 start date. When you reach the offer stage, confirm whether Quest's in-house immigration team or an outside firm handles filings, so you can align your start date expectations accordingly.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type
Quest posts administrative positions across dozens of locations simultaneously. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Quest Diagnostics roles that align with your visa category, so you're only spending time on positions where sponsorship is a realistic outcome.
Understand how PERM applies to administrative roles
EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship for administrative positions requires DOL PERM labor certification, which documents that no qualified U.S. worker was available for the role. Ask your hiring contact whether Quest has a defined policy for initiating PERM for administrative staff.

Does Quest Diagnostics sponsor H-1B visas for Administrative Assistants?
Yes, Quest Diagnostics has a demonstrated history of sponsoring H-1B visas for employees in administrative functions. If you receive an offer, Quest's HR and immigration team will coordinate the H-1B petition process, including Labor Condition Application filing with the DOL. Confirm sponsorship eligibility during the offer stage, as individual location policies can vary.
Which visa types are commonly used for Administrative Assistant roles at Quest Diagnostics?
H-1B is the most common work visa pathway for administrative professionals at Quest. F-1 OPT and CPT are also supported for students already in the pipeline. TN classification may apply for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying administrative roles. For longer-term sponsorship, Quest has also supported EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for eligible employees.
What qualifications are expected for Administrative Assistant roles at Quest Diagnostics?
Most Quest administrative roles require at minimum a high school diploma or associate degree, with preference given to candidates who have experience in healthcare, medical office, or laboratory environments. Proficiency in scheduling software, Microsoft Office, and knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols are commonly listed requirements. Prior experience in a clinical or patient-services setting is a strong differentiator.
How do I apply for Administrative Assistant jobs at Quest Diagnostics?
You can browse and apply for Administrative Assistant positions at Quest Diagnostics through Migrate Mate, which filters openings by visa sponsorship type so you can identify roles where your work authorization status is supported. Applications typically require a current resume and may include a pre-screening questionnaire about work authorization status before reaching the interview stage.
How do I plan my timeline when targeting an Administrative Assistant role at Quest Diagnostics?
If you're pursuing H-1B sponsorship, align your job search with the USCIS cap registration window, which opens in March each year for an October 1 start. For OPT holders, apply at least three to four months before your authorization expires to allow time for hiring, onboarding, and petition preparation. TN and EB-based pathways have different timelines and should be confirmed with Quest's immigration contacts post-offer.
