Verify Your NCLEX and State License Early
Florida requires an active RN license before Baptist Health can file any visa petition. Start the NCLEX-RN and Florida Board of Nursing application process well ahead of your target start date so licensing delays don't stall your offer.
Target Units With Persistent Staffing Gaps
Baptist Health's South Florida campuses consistently post openings in critical care, emergency nursing, and med-surg. Applying directly to high-demand units improves your odds of reaching a hiring manager willing to initiate sponsorship discussions.
Ask About EB-3 Sponsorship During Negotiations
Baptist Health sponsors permanent residence for nursing staff, but the PERM labor certification process takes time. Raise EB-3 sponsorship during the offer stage, not after you've signed, so both timelines are aligned before you accept.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Verified Sponsoring Roles
Not every Baptist Health job posting signals visa sponsorship availability. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Registered Nurse openings at Baptist Health South Florida that are confirmed for H-1B or other sponsorship, saving time on applications that won't move forward.
Prepare a USCIS-Ready Credential Package Before Applying
Collect degree transcripts, CGFNS or VisaScreen certification, nursing license verification, and any specialty certifications before your first interview. Baptist Health's immigration team will need these documents quickly once an offer is extended.

Find Registered Nurse at Baptist Health South Florida JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Baptist Health South Florida sponsor H-1B visas for Registered Nurses?
Yes, Baptist Health South Florida sponsors H-1B visas for Registered Nurses. Because H-1B nursing petitions require demonstrating that the role qualifies as a specialty occupation, your licensure, degree credentials, and the specific clinical position all factor into the petition. Baptist Health's HR and legal teams handle the filing through USCIS once an offer is extended.
How do I apply for Registered Nurse jobs at Baptist Health South Florida?
You can browse and apply for Registered Nurse roles at Baptist Health South Florida through Migrate Mate, which filters for positions open to visa sponsorship. Apply directly to units that match your clinical specialty, attach your nursing license and credentials, and be upfront about your sponsorship needs early in the process so recruiters can flag your application appropriately.
Which visa types does Baptist Health South Florida commonly use for Registered Nurse roles?
Baptist Health South Florida sponsors H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT for temporary work authorization, and pursues EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for longer-term employment. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nurses and typically processes faster. F-1 OPT is common for nurses who recently completed a U.S. nursing program and are in their post-graduation work authorization window.
What qualifications does Baptist Health South Florida expect from Registered Nurse candidates?
Baptist Health expects candidates to hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing, an active Florida RN license, and relevant clinical experience in the unit they're applying to. For internationally educated nurses, a VisaScreen certificate issued by CGFNS International is required before a work visa can be processed. Specialty certifications in areas like critical care or emergency nursing strengthen your application.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Registered Nurse position at Baptist Health South Florida?
Timelines vary by visa type. H-1B sponsorship is tied to the annual cap with an October 1 start date, so timing your application cycle matters. TN status can be arranged in weeks for eligible candidates. EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through PERM involves DOL labor certification and USCIS filing, typically spanning one to several years depending on your country of birth and priority date.
