Verify Your Credentials Through CGFNS Early
International nursing credentials must be evaluated before INTEGRIS can move forward with sponsorship. Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools certification and a state nursing license from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing are prerequisites, not formalities, so start both processes before applying.
Target Units With Persistent Staffing Gaps
INTEGRIS consistently posts openings across critical care, med-surg, and emergency departments. Focusing your application on high-turnover or hard-to-fill units increases the likelihood that a hiring manager will engage a candidate who requires sponsorship rather than defaulting to local hires.
Understand the EB-3 PERM Timeline for Nurses
Registered Nurse roles are Schedule A occupations, which bypasses the PERM labor market test that most EB-3 applicants face. Ask explicitly during the offer stage whether INTEGRIS will file under Schedule A, since this can cut years off your Green Card timeline.
Clarify the H-1B Cap Exemption Question Upfront
Nonprofit hospitals affiliated with a university medical system may qualify for H-1B cap exemption, allowing filing outside the annual lottery. Confirm with INTEGRIS HR whether the specific facility you are joining qualifies, since exemption status varies by entity and affects your start date flexibility.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Active Sponsorship Openings
Filter by INTEGRIS Health and Registered Nurse on Migrate Mate to find current roles the organization is actively hiring for with visa sponsorship. This saves time you would otherwise spend sifting through postings that do not support international candidates.
Negotiate Sponsorship Terms Before Signing the Offer
Confirm in writing whether INTEGRIS covers attorney fees, filing costs, and premium processing for H-1B petitions. Healthcare employers vary widely on who bears these costs, and USCIS fees are substantial enough that clarifying responsibility before you accept protects you from unexpected expenses.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does INTEGRIS Health sponsor H-1B visas for Registered Nurses?
Yes, INTEGRIS Health sponsors H-1B visas for Registered Nurses. Nursing roles typically qualify as specialty occupations under H-1B standards given the degree requirements involved. Because INTEGRIS is a large regional health system, sponsorship is handled through an established process, but you should confirm with the recruiter whether premium processing is available for your specific role and timeline.
Which visa types does INTEGRIS Health commonly use for Registered Nurse roles?
INTEGRIS Health sponsors both H-1B temporary work visas and employment-based Green Cards, primarily EB-2 and EB-3, for Registered Nurses. Because nursing is a Schedule A occupation under DOL rules, EB-3 sponsorship bypasses the standard PERM labor market test, making permanent residency a more accessible and faster pathway for internationally trained nurses at INTEGRIS than at many other employers.
What qualifications does INTEGRIS Health expect for Registered Nurse positions?
INTEGRIS requires an active Oklahoma Registered Nurse license, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing for most hospital-based roles, and BLS certification at minimum. For ICU, emergency, or specialty units, additional certifications such as ACLS or CCRN are often expected. International candidates also need CGFNS certification or equivalent credential evaluation before the licensing and sponsorship process can begin.
How do I apply for Registered Nurse jobs at INTEGRIS Health?
You can browse active Registered Nurse openings at INTEGRIS Health that support visa sponsorship through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for sponsored roles. From there, applications go through INTEGRIS's own careers portal. Tailor your application to the specific unit, and confirm with the recruiter early in the process that the role is open to candidates requiring H-1B or Green Card sponsorship to avoid late-stage surprises.
How long does the sponsorship and hiring process take at INTEGRIS Health?
Timeline depends on visa type. An H-1B with premium processing through USCIS can reach approval in two to three weeks once the petition is filed, though the cap lottery in April adds uncertainty if you are not cap-exempt. EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through the Schedule A pathway moves faster than standard PERM cases but still typically spans one to three years depending on your country of birth and current visa priority dates.
