Target technical and engineering roles first
Barfield's sponsorship activity is concentrated in specialized aviation roles. Focus your applications on avionics, engineering, and MRO technician positions, where the need for niche expertise makes employers more willing to support visa sponsorship for the right candidate.
Highlight FAA or international aviation certifications
Barfield operates in a heavily regulated industry. Candidates with FAA certifications, EASA credentials, or relevant aviation maintenance licenses stand out as qualified for specialty occupation roles, which strengthens the case for H-1B or Green Card sponsorship consideration.
Understand which visa types Barfield sponsors
Barfield has sponsored H-1B, EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas. If you're a Canadian or Mexican national with aviation qualifications, the TN category may offer a faster path than waiting for H-1B selection.
Apply early in your OPT period
If you're on F-1 OPT, approaching Barfield early in your authorization window gives the company time to evaluate you and initiate H-1B sponsorship before your status expires. Barfield has sponsored OPT workers before, so this pathway is realistic.
Search for verified sponsorship opportunities on Migrate Mate
Not all aviation employers sponsor visas consistently. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, saving time by focusing only on companies like Barfield with a documented track record across multiple visa types.
Position yourself for long-term retention conversations
Green Card sponsorship in MRO companies typically follows demonstrated value over time. If your goal is permanent residence via EB-2 or EB-3, frame your application around long-term contribution to Barfield's technical teams, not just immediate job fit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Barfield sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Barfield sponsors H-1B visas. The company has a history of filing H-1B petitions for specialized roles in the aviation and MRO sector. Candidates with a qualifying bachelor's degree and a specialty occupation role at Barfield are typically the strongest candidates for this pathway.
Which visa types does Barfield sponsor?
Barfield sponsors H-1B, EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas. This range means the company supports both temporary work authorization and permanent residence pathways. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying aviation-related occupations without going through the H-1B lottery.
Which departments or roles at Barfield are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Barfield tends to concentrate in technical and engineering functions, including avionics repair, aircraft maintenance, and quality assurance. These roles require specialized knowledge that aligns with specialty occupation standards, making them more straightforward to sponsor under H-1B and employment-based Green Card categories.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at Barfield?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find roles at Barfield that come with verified sponsorship history. Rather than sorting through job postings with vague sponsorship language, Migrate Mate lets you filter by company and visa type so you can confirm Barfield's track record before applying.
How do I approach the application process at Barfield as a visa-sponsored candidate?
Apply to roles that directly match your technical aviation background and be transparent about your visa needs early in the process. Barfield has navigated multiple visa types before, so recruiters are familiar with sponsorship logistics. Having your credentials, certifications, and degree equivalency documentation ready will accelerate the process once an offer is on the table.
