The ASRS Technician supports the daily operation of the Automated Storage and Retrieval System and assists with finished-goods movement in the CPA room. This position monitors system performance, troubleshoots operational issues, resolves inventory discrepancies, and helps ensure products are accurately stored and retrieved according to FIFO requirements. The technician works closely with Shipping, Warehouse, Maintenance, Inventory Control, and Information Technology to maintain safe, accurate, and efficient ASRS operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor daily ASRS activity and respond promptly to system alarms, errors, jams, and operational interruptions.
- Troubleshoot basic ASRS hardware, software, scanner, conveyor, and inventory-related issues.
- Escalate complex system or equipment problems to the appropriate Information Technology, Maintenance, or equipment-support personnel.
- Make authorized system adjustments to support accurate product storage, retrieval, and movement.
- Monitor product movement to ensure finished goods are stored and picked according to FIFO requirements.
- Assist with placing finished goods into storage and supporting product movement within the CPA room.
- Review daily inventory, pallet-movement, and system-issue reports.
- Investigate inventory synchronization errors, missing pallet records, incorrect locations, and other discrepancies.
- Identify the root cause of inventory and system issues and assist with implementing corrective actions.
- Complete stock checks, cycle counts, and physical inventory verification as assigned.

- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and period reports for pallets entering and leaving the ASRS.
