E-3 visa eligibility requires Australian citizenship, a job offer in a specialty occupation from a U.S. employer, and at least a bachelor's degree in a field directly related to that role. The employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the U.S. Department of Labor before the applicant applies at a U.S. consulate. Because the E-3 is a nonimmigrant visa, applicants must demonstrate they intend to return to Australia after their authorized stay.

How do I get E-3 sponsorship from a top sponsor?

After the LCA is certified, the applicant schedules a visa interview at a U.S. consulate, typically in Australia, and attends with the certified LCA, a job offer letter, academic credentials, and other supporting documents. No USCIS filing is required for the initial E-3 obtained at a consulate. The visa is granted for two years and can be renewed indefinitely while employment continues.
