Job Roles at Boston Dynamics Companies
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Boston Dynamics Visa Sponsorship USA
Target roles in robotics engineering and research
Boston Dynamics sponsors primarily technical roles tied to its core robotics and AI research work. Focus your applications on mechanical, electrical, and software engineering positions where international talent is most consistently sponsored and in highest demand.
Align your background with their Science & Research focus
Applications that demonstrate hands-on research experience in robotics, computer vision, or control systems resonate strongly here. Academic projects, publications, or lab work that mirror Boston Dynamics' technical scope will differentiate you from generalist candidates.
Prepare for a technical-heavy interview process
Boston Dynamics is known for rigorous engineering interviews. Expect deep technical assessments on systems design, kinematics, or software architecture depending on your role. Strong technical performance directly supports the specialty occupation case needed for H-1B sponsorship.
Apply early relative to the H-1B cap window
If you're transitioning from OPT to H-1B, timing matters. Boston Dynamics has a track record of sponsoring petitions for qualifying employees. Secure your offer and begin employer conversations well before the April registration window to avoid missing the cycle.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified open roles
Not all job boards surface whether a company genuinely sponsors visas. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and find Boston Dynamics openings confirmed to accept international applicants, saving time on unverified listings.

Does Boston Dynamics sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Boston Dynamics sponsors H-1B visas. The company has a consistent track record of filing H-1B petitions for qualified international employees, particularly in technical and engineering roles tied to its robotics and advanced research work. If you're on F-1 OPT and working there, H-1B sponsorship is a realistic next step for eligible employees.
Which visa types does Boston Dynamics sponsor?
Boston Dynamics sponsors H-1B visas for skilled workers and supports F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT for international students. It also sponsors TN visas, which are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional roles. Green Card sponsorship is not currently reflected in recent filings, so long-term permanent residence pathways may require separate planning.
Which departments or roles at Boston Dynamics are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Boston Dynamics is concentrated in technical and research-heavy roles, consistent with its Science and Research focus. Robotics engineers, software engineers, mechanical and electrical engineers, and AI or computer vision researchers are the profiles most commonly associated with sponsored positions. Corporate, operations, or generalist roles are less likely to receive sponsorship.
How do I find open jobs at Boston Dynamics that sponsor visas?
The most reliable way is to use Migrate Mate, which filters job listings by verified sponsorship history so you can confirm Boston Dynamics is actively hiring international candidates for a given role. This saves you from applying to listings where sponsorship is ambiguous or unavailable, and lets you focus on positions where your visa status is already accommodated.
How do I time my application to Boston Dynamics around the H-1B cap?
If you need H-1B sponsorship, aim to have an offer in place by early in the calendar year so your employer can register you in the H-1B lottery, which opens in March. Boston Dynamics sponsors H-1B petitions for qualifying employees, so the key is locking in your role before registration closes. Starting on F-1 OPT first gives you a natural runway to build toward that conversation.
