Align your credentials to clinical device standards
Brainlab operates in surgical navigation and radiosurgery, so your credentials should reflect hands-on experience with capital medical equipment or operating room workflows. A degree in biomedical engineering, clinical science, or a related health field strengthens your petition for specialty occupation classification.
Target roles with defined degree requirements
USCIS approves H-1B petitions when the role requires a specific bachelor's degree or higher. Healthcare positions tied to device implementation or clinical training at Brainlab are stronger fits than generalist support roles where any degree satisfies the requirement.
Ask about OPT start dates during interviews
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your start date leaves enough runway before your authorization expires. Brainlab's onboarding for clinical roles can involve credentialing steps, so build in buffer time and request your employer file the H-1B petition well before the April 1 registration window.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Brainlab Healthcare openings
Filter specifically for Healthcare roles at Brainlab on Migrate Mate to see active positions organized by visa eligibility. This saves time compared to sifting through general job boards where sponsorship status is rarely confirmed upfront.
Prepare documentation for a clinical specialty occupation
Gather transcripts, professional licenses, and any clinical certifications before the offer stage. USCIS scrutinizes medical device roles closely, and having a credential evaluation completed in advance avoids delays once your employer initiates the I-129 petition.
Understand how TN eligibility applies to your role
Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying healthcare or scientific occupations may be eligible for TN status, which bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely. Confirm with DOL's TN occupation list whether your specific Healthcare title at Brainlab qualifies before accepting an offer.

Find Healthcare at Brainlab JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Brainlab sponsor H-1B visas for Healthcares?
Yes, Brainlab sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Healthcare roles. Positions focused on clinical applications, surgical workflow, or medical device implementation tend to meet USCIS specialty occupation standards because they require a specific degree in a health or technical discipline. Sponsorship is evaluated case by case based on the role's requirements and your qualifications.
How do I apply for Healthcare jobs at Brainlab?
You can browse and apply for Healthcare positions at Brainlab directly through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship eligibility so you know upfront what support is available. From there, the process follows a standard interview sequence before Brainlab initiates any required visa filing steps with USCIS or DOL on your behalf.
Which visa types are commonly used for Healthcare roles at Brainlab?
Healthcare roles at Brainlab are most commonly filled through H-1B sponsorship for candidates in specialty occupations, F-1 OPT for recent graduates in biomedical or clinical fields, and TN status for eligible Canadian or Mexican nationals. For longer-term hires, Brainlab has also pursued EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, which involve PERM labor certification through the DOL.
What qualifications does Brainlab expect for Healthcare roles?
Most Healthcare roles at Brainlab require a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as biomedical engineering, clinical science, nursing, or health informatics. Practical experience with medical imaging systems, operating room environments, or clinical device support is valued. Roles in surgical applications may also require regional travel and familiarity with capital equipment installation.
How do I plan my timeline if Brainlab sponsors my H-1B?
H-1B employment can only begin on October 1 at the earliest under the standard cap, so plan your offer and petition timeline around the April 1 USCIS filing window. If you're transitioning from F-1 OPT, confirm your EAD expiration gives you enough runway. Premium processing is available and reduces USCIS adjudication to roughly 15 business days if your employer elects it.
