Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Mechanical Engineer Jobs at Braze
Frame your hardware experience for SaaS context
Braze is a software company, so position your mechanical engineering background around data center infrastructure, thermal management, or hardware integration rather than traditional manufacturing. Hiring managers need to see how your skills translate to a tech-first environment.
Target roles that align with H-1B specialty occupation criteria
Mechanical Engineer positions at Braze must meet USCIS specialty occupation requirements, meaning a directly related degree is essential. Confirm your degree field maps cleanly to the job description before applying, since mismatches are a common RFE trigger.
Research Braze's LCA filings before salary negotiations
Before your offer stage, check DOL's OFLC disclosure data for Braze's certified Labor Condition Applications in engineering roles. This tells you the prevailing wage floor your employer must meet, so you negotiate with an accurate baseline rather than guessing.
Ask explicitly about cap-exempt H-1B timing
If you're transferring from a cap-exempt employer, Braze can file your H-1B petition outside the April lottery window. Clarify your current employer's cap-exempt status early so your recruiting contact understands which filing timeline applies to you.
Prepare credential documentation before the offer arrives
Have your academic transcripts evaluated by a NACES-approved credential evaluation service before you receive a job offer. For roles with international degrees, delays in evaluation can push your start date back significantly and complicate your I-129 petition timeline.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open Mechanical Engineer roles at Braze
Filtering by visa type and role simultaneously saves significant time. Migrate Mate lets you search Mechanical Engineer openings at Braze specifically filtered by the sponsorship types you qualify for, so you apply to relevant positions rather than sorting manually.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Braze sponsor H-1B visas for Mechanical Engineers?
Yes, Braze sponsors H-1B visas for Mechanical Engineer roles. Because Braze is a software company rather than a traditional manufacturer, H-1B petitions for these positions need to clearly demonstrate specialty occupation status, meaning your degree field must directly align with the mechanical engineering duties in the job description. USCIS scrutinizes this nexus closely.
How do I apply for Mechanical Engineer jobs at Braze?
Applications go through Braze's careers portal. Before applying, review the job description carefully to confirm the role includes explicit degree requirements, since that affects H-1B eligibility. Migrate Mate surfaces Mechanical Engineer openings at Braze filtered by visa type, which helps you identify the right listings without manually checking each posting for sponsorship details.
Which visa types does Braze commonly use for Mechanical Engineer roles?
Braze sponsors H-1B, E-3 visa, TN visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1 visa, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for engineering positions. E-3 visa is relevant for Australian citizens and TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering occupations. F-1 OPT and CPT are typically used for early-career candidates still within their degree program authorization period.
What qualifications does Braze look for in Mechanical Engineer candidates?
Braze expects a bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering or a closely related field. Because these roles support technology infrastructure rather than product manufacturing, experience in areas like thermal systems, hardware integration, or facilities engineering tends to be more relevant than traditional production backgrounds. Proficiency with CAD software and demonstrated project ownership are consistent expectations across job postings.
How does the visa filing timeline work for a Mechanical Engineer offer at Braze?
For H-1B cap-subject cases, Braze must register in the March lottery with an October 1 start date if selected. F-1 OPT candidates can start earlier if their OPT authorization is current. E-3 and TN visas involve consular or port-of-entry processing and typically move faster than H-1B. Build in buffer time around your current status expiration, since USCIS standard processing currently runs several months for I-129 petitions.
