Align your degree to the role
Cohesity's Account Associate positions typically require a business, marketing, or technology-related degree. Before applying, confirm your field of study maps clearly to the role, since H-1B specialty occupation approval depends on that direct connection.
Target Cohesity's enterprise sales pipeline
Cohesity structures its sales org around named accounts and verticals like financial services and healthcare. Framing your experience around managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles signals fit for the roles most likely to receive sponsorship approval.
Start your OPT job search at least three months early
F-1 students can apply for OPT up to 90 days before graduation. Cohesity's hiring cycles for Account Associates often run several weeks, so starting early gives you enough runway to complete interviews before your authorization window opens.
Understand the H-1B lottery timing before accepting
If you need cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, registration opens each March for an October 1 start date. Confirm with Cohesity's recruiting team upfront whether your start date aligns with that cycle so there are no gaps in your work authorization.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Account Associate roles at Cohesity
Cohesity posts Account Associate openings across multiple locations and segments. Search Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Cohesity roles that include visa sponsorship, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already confirmed rather than asking cold.
Prepare your LCA documentation before your offer letter arrives
Once Cohesity extends an offer, the H-1B process starts with a Labor Condition Application filed with the DOL. Having your employment details, job duties, and worksite location ready to share with their legal team prevents delays at this stage.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Cohesity sponsor H-1B visas for Account Associates?
Yes, Cohesity sponsors H-1B visas for Account Associate roles. As a technology company in the data security space, Cohesity has an established immigration program that supports international hires in its sales organization. If you're cap-subject, sponsorship depends on H-1B lottery selection, so it's worth confirming timing with the recruiting team early in the process.
How do I apply for Account Associate jobs at Cohesity?
You can find and apply for Account Associate openings at Cohesity through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for roles with confirmed visa sponsorship. From there, applications go through Cohesity's recruiting team, typically starting with a recruiter screen, followed by a hiring manager interview and a final panel covering sales competencies and role fit.
Which visa types does Cohesity commonly sponsor for Account Associates?
Cohesity sponsors several visa categories for Account Associates, including H-1B, F-1 OPT and CPT, TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals, J-1 visa, and employment-based Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 categories. The right pathway depends on your nationality, current status, and where you are in your immigration journey.
What qualifications does Cohesity look for in Account Associate candidates?
Cohesity typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, along with demonstrated interest in enterprise technology sales. Experience with CRM tools, a track record of hitting targets, and the ability to communicate technical value propositions to business stakeholders all strengthen your application significantly.
How do I plan my timeline around Cohesity's sponsorship process?
If you're on F-1 OPT, you have up to 12 months of initial work authorization, with a potential 24-month STEM extension. For H-1B sponsorship, Cohesity would file during the March registration window for an October start. Building a six-month buffer between your target start date and any authorization expiry gives the process room to move without gaps.
