Target technical and engineering roles
Cricket Wireless's sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical disciplines tied to network infrastructure and software. Focus your search on engineering, IT, and systems roles where the company has a documented track record of supporting permanent residency pathways.
Understand the Green Card focus
Cricket Wireless sponsors primarily through EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card categories rather than H-1B. If you're on F-1 OPT or TN status, plan your long-term immigration strategy around permanent residency from the outset when targeting this employer.
Leverage OPT and TN as entry points
Cricket Wireless accepts F-1 OPT and TN workers, which can serve as practical entry points into the company. Performing well in these statuses positions you to initiate a Green Card conversation once you've demonstrated value in a qualifying role.
Align with AT&T's broader talent pipeline
As an AT&T subsidiary, Cricket Wireless shares hiring infrastructure and HR processes with a major telecom. Familiarity with AT&T's sponsorship culture and internal mobility programs can strengthen your positioning when pursuing a sponsored role at Cricket.
Filter for verified sponsors before applying
Not every telecom employer backs up job postings with actual sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, saving time and ensuring Cricket Wireless roles you find have documented immigration support.
Raise sponsorship early in the offer stage
Cricket Wireless's sponsorship volume is selective, so confirm sponsorship eligibility before investing heavily in the interview process. Asking directly during the recruiter screen whether the role supports Green Card sponsorship sets clear expectations for both sides.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Cricket Wireless sponsor H-1B visas?
Based on available sponsorship data, Cricket Wireless does not have a recent history of H-1B visa filings. The company's sponsorship activity is focused on permanent residency through the EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card categories. If H-1B sponsorship is a requirement for your situation, this is worth confirming directly with the recruiter before advancing in the process.
Which visa types does Cricket Wireless sponsor?
Cricket Wireless sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, and accepts workers on F-1 OPT and TN visa status. The company does not appear to sponsor H-1B or E-3 visas. If you're in the U.S. on OPT or TN visa, those statuses can serve as a practical bridge while a Green Card case is initiated.
Which departments or roles at Cricket Wireless are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Cricket Wireless is most commonly associated with technical roles in areas such as network engineering, software development, and IT infrastructure. Corporate functions like finance, data analytics, and operations may also qualify depending on the role's degree requirements and the sponsoring category used.
How do I find open roles at Cricket Wireless that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most reliable way to find Cricket Wireless roles with confirmed sponsorship history. Rather than applying blind through a general job board, Migrate Mate lets you filter by visa type and employer sponsorship track record, so you know a role has genuine immigration support before investing time in the application.
How do I approach the application timeline when targeting a Green Card through Cricket Wireless?
Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 typically involves PERM labor certification, followed by an I-140 petition, and then adjustment of status or consular processing. The full process can span two or more years depending on your priority date and country of chargeability. Starting the conversation with your hiring manager and HR early in your tenure improves your chances of initiating the process before your current work authorization expires.
