Frame Your Leadership Experience in Product Context
Crunchbase builds data-driven SaaS products, so position your management experience around shipping features at scale, not just team oversight. Highlight roadmap ownership, cross-functional alignment, and metrics-driven delivery in your resume and cover materials.
Confirm TN Eligibility Before Applying
If you're Canadian or Mexican, the TN visa applies to computer-related roles and can be processed at the border without USCIS filing. Verify your degree and job duties satisfy DOL's TN computer systems analyst classification before your interview stage.
Address OPT Cap-Gap Risk During Offer Negotiations
If your F-1 OPT expires between April and October, ask the recruiter early whether the offer timeline accommodates a cap-gap extension. A delayed start date or confirmed H-1B filing before October 1 protects your ability to begin without a work authorization gap.
Target Roles Where Sponsorship Is Active
Use Migrate Mate to filter Development Manager openings at Crunchbase by visa type, so you're applying to roles with a verified sponsorship pattern for your specific authorization rather than roles that may only accommodate certain statuses.
Align Your Start Date with H-1B Processing Windows
H-1B cap-subject petitions have an October 1 start date. If Crunchbase extends an offer after the lottery, negotiate a conditional start or interim consulting arrangement. USCIS premium processing can reduce approval wait times to 15 business days.

Does Crunchbase sponsor H-1B visas for Development Managers?
Crunchbase has sponsored work visas for Development Manager roles, and H-1B is the primary pathway for candidates who require employer sponsorship in this function. Because H-1B cap-subject petitions are tied to an annual lottery, timing your application and offer acceptance around the March registration window is critical for this role type.
Which visa types are commonly used for Development Manager roles at Crunchbase?
Development Manager roles at Crunchbase have been supported through H-1B, EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas. OPT and CPT are typically used during earlier career stages, while TN applies to Canadian and Mexican nationals. EB-2 and EB-3 are the employer-sponsored green card pathways for long-term authorization.
What qualifications and experience does Crunchbase expect for Development Manager positions?
Crunchbase typically expects Development Managers to have a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field, combined with demonstrated experience leading engineering teams in a SaaS or data-platform environment. Familiarity with agile delivery, API-driven products, and cross-functional stakeholder management strengthens a candidate's profile significantly.
How do I apply for Development Manager jobs at Crunchbase?
You can browse and apply for Development Manager openings at Crunchbase directly through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm compatibility with your work authorization before applying. From there, tailor your resume to reflect product-area ownership and team leadership outcomes relevant to Crunchbase's data intelligence platform.
How do I plan my timeline if Crunchbase sponsors my Green Card as a Development Manager?
Green Card sponsorship through PERM involves three stages: DOL labor market testing, USCIS I-140 petition, and adjustment of status or consular processing. The full timeline commonly runs two to four years or longer depending on your country of birth and priority date. Starting the PERM process shortly after your H-1B approval gives you the most favorable runway.
