Target roles aligned with green card sponsorship
Crunchbase's sponsorship history skews toward permanent residence pathways. Focus your applications on technical, product, and data roles where long-term retention matters most, these positions are most likely to come with green card support.
Understand which visa categories Crunchbase supports
Crunchbase sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 green cards along with F-1 OPT, CPT, and TN visas. If you're on OPT or TN status, you're already in a supported category, frame your application accordingly from the start.
Know that H-1B sponsorship isn't part of their current pattern
Crunchbase's recent sponsorship history does not include H-1B filings. If your work authorization depends on H-1B sponsorship, factor this into your planning and have a clear conversation with recruiting early.
Highlight your ability to work across data and business intelligence
Crunchbase's core product centers on company data and market intelligence. Candidates with backgrounds in data engineering, analytics, or business intelligence align closely with what the company builds and where sponsored roles tend to appear.
Move quickly when roles open up
Crunchbase is a focused technology company with a selective headcount. Sponsored positions don't turn over frequently, so acting fast matters. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and apply as soon as roles go live.
Be direct about your visa status in outreach
With a selective hiring profile, Crunchbase recruiters appreciate transparency. If you're on OPT, CPT, or TN, lead with that clearly, it matches their documented sponsorship categories and removes ambiguity early in the process.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Crunchbase sponsor H-1B visas?
Based on recent sponsorship activity, Crunchbase does not have a pattern of H-1B visa sponsorship. Their filings have focused on green card categories such as EB-2 and EB-3, along with F-1 OPT, CPT, and TN visas. If you're currently on H-1B visa status or need H-1B sponsorship, it's worth discussing this directly with Crunchbase's recruiting team before advancing far in the process.
Which visa types does Crunchbase sponsor?
Crunchbase sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories, which represent green card pathways for professionals and skilled workers. They also support F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas. This profile makes Crunchbase a practical option for recent graduates on OPT, Canadian and Mexican nationals on TN status, and experienced professionals pursuing a long-term U.S. immigration path.
What departments or roles at Crunchbase are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Crunchbase's product is built on business intelligence and company data, so roles in data engineering, software development, product management, and analytics tend to be where the company invests most in talent retention. These are also the functions where green card sponsorship is most common, as employers prioritize long-term retention for technical contributors who are difficult to replace.
How do I find open visa-sponsored roles at Crunchbase?
The most reliable approach is to use Migrate Mate, which tracks verified sponsorship history by employer so you can confirm Crunchbase's immigration support before applying. This saves time compared to researching each company individually and helps you prioritize employers whose sponsorship patterns match your visa category. From there, apply directly through Crunchbase's careers page and be upfront about your immigration status in early conversations.
How do I approach the application timeline if I need visa sponsorship from Crunchbase?
Because Crunchbase's sponsorship focus is on green card categories rather than nonimmigrant work visas, the timeline consideration is different from a typical H-1B employer. Green card processes through EB-2 or EB-3 can take years, so starting the conversation early in your employment matters. If you're on OPT or TN, make sure your authorized work period is long enough to remain employed while sponsorship is initiated, and clarify timelines with HR during the offer stage.
