Target technical and product roles
Crunchyroll's sponsored positions are concentrated in engineering, product, and platform development rather than content or marketing. Candidates with software or streaming infrastructure backgrounds are better positioned to find sponsored opportunities at the company.
Understand which visa types Crunchyroll supports
Crunchyroll has a track record sponsoring H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT workers. Knowing which category fits your background before applying helps you frame your eligibility clearly in outreach and interviews.
Australian candidates should highlight E-3 eligibility
Crunchyroll has sponsored E-3 visas, which are exclusively available to Australian citizens. If you're Australian, leading with your E-3 eligibility makes you easier and faster to sponsor than most H-1B applicants.
Leverage Sony's global footprint in your application
As a Sony subsidiary, Crunchyroll operates within a large, internationally experienced organization. Candidates with experience in global media companies or cross-border team structures may find cultural and organizational alignment easier to demonstrate.
Apply through platforms that verify sponsorship history
Not every job listing clarifies sponsorship willingness upfront. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, saving time spent chasing companies that don't actually sponsor visas.
Time your application around content and product cycles
Media and entertainment companies like Crunchyroll often ramp up hiring around major content launches or platform expansions. Tracking product announcements and new service rollouts can help you identify when headcount is likely to grow.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Crunchyroll sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Crunchyroll sponsors H-1B visas. The company has an active sponsorship track record, with H-1B being the most common visa type it supports. Sponsored roles tend to be in technical functions such as software engineering and product development. If you're on an H-1B, targeting those departments gives you the strongest chance of finding a fit.
Which visa types does Crunchyroll sponsor?
Crunchyroll sponsors H-1B, E-3 visa, TN visa, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT visas. This range makes the company accessible to a variety of international candidates, including Australian citizens on the E-3 visa, Canadian and Mexican nationals on the TN visa, and recent graduates completing OPT or CPT work authorization. Crunchyroll does not have a current track record of sponsoring Green Cards.
Which departments or roles at Crunchyroll are most likely to be sponsored?
Visa sponsorship at Crunchyroll is most commonly associated with technical and product roles, including software engineering, platform infrastructure, and data functions. These positions typically meet the specialty occupation standard required for H-1B and E-3 visas. Content, marketing, and operations roles are less frequently sponsored, though they are not categorically excluded.
How do I find sponsored job openings at Crunchyroll?
The most reliable approach is to use a platform that tracks real sponsorship history rather than relying on individual job listings to disclose it. Migrate Mate lists Crunchyroll among verified sponsoring employers, so you can browse current openings with confidence that the company has a documented record of sponsoring international workers. Filtering by visa type helps narrow results to roles aligned with your eligibility.
How do I approach the interview process at Crunchyroll as a visa-sponsored candidate?
Be prepared to discuss your visa status early, ideally in the recruiter screening. Crunchyroll operates within Sony's HR infrastructure, which means the sponsorship process is established and not unfamiliar to recruiters. Clarify whether you need a new H-1B petition, a transfer, or an E-3 or TN application, since each carries a different timeline and employer burden. Coming in with that clarity reduces friction and speeds up the process.
