- Code Quality and Technical Leadership: Lead code reviews, provide actionable feedback, and establish best practices that improve maintainability and scalability.
- Performance and Reliability: Identify and address performance bottlenecks, memory constraints, and platform-specific limitations across connected devices.
- Mentorship and Team Growth: Support and mentor engineers, helping raise the technical bar and fostering a culture of ownership and collaboration.
- Documentation and Enablement: Create clear technical documentation and guidance to enable adoption of shared systems across teams.
In the role of Senior Engineer, you will report to the Senior Engineering Manager, LRX.

- Connected Devices (Preferred): Experience building applications for Smart TVs, Game Consoles, or other constrained environments (or strong interest in this space).
- Technical Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead projects, influence architectural decisions, and drive alignment across teams.
- Problem Solving: Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, especially in cross-module or platform-specific scenarios.
- Collaboration: Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing dependencies in distributed environments.

Tailor your resume for entertainment infrastructure
Crunchyroll's mechanical engineering work spans physical studio buildouts, server room cooling systems, and hardware deployment. Highlight experience with facilities engineering, thermal management, or production environment equipment rather than general manufacturing roles.
Verify your OPT or CPT eligibility before applying
Crunchyroll sponsors F-1 OPT and CPT, but your program must list mechanical engineering as a qualifying STEM field. Confirm your DSO has updated your SEVP record before your interview, since onboarding timelines at media companies can move faster than expected.
Flag E-3 eligibility early if you hold Australian citizenship
The E-3 visa has a dedicated annual allocation that rarely fills, making it a reliable path for Australian mechanical engineers. Raise your citizenship status in the recruiter screen so Crunchyroll's legal team can prepare the Labor Condition Application with DOL without delaying your offer.
Search Crunchyroll's open roles on Migrate Mate
Crunchyroll posts mechanical engineering roles across multiple locations and teams. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Crunchyroll positions that include visa sponsorship, so you're only spending time on roles where your work authorization situation is already accounted for.
Anticipate H-1B cap timing if you need a new petition
USCIS accepts H-1B cap registrations in March for an October 1 start date. If you're not currently on OPT or another status that bridges the gap, discuss this timeline with your recruiter before accepting an offer so both sides can plan around it.
Request written sponsorship confirmation before accepting
Media and entertainment companies sometimes distinguish between roles they'll sponsor and roles they prefer to fill domestically. Get explicit written confirmation from HR that the specific mechanical engineer position includes visa sponsorship before you resign from a current role or decline other offers.

Find Mechanical Engineer at Crunchyroll JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Crunchyroll sponsor H-1B visas for Mechanical Engineers?
Yes, Crunchyroll sponsors H-1B visas for Mechanical Engineer roles. Because H-1B cap-subject petitions are subject to the annual lottery with an October 1 start date, timing matters. If you're already on OPT or another valid status, Crunchyroll can file a cap-subject petition in the spring registration window. Confirm sponsorship in writing during the offer stage so there are no surprises.
How do I apply for Mechanical Engineer jobs at Crunchyroll?
You can browse and apply for Mechanical Engineer positions at Crunchyroll directly through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles that include visa sponsorship. From there, applications typically move through a recruiter screen, technical interviews focused on systems and facilities engineering, and a final loop with the hiring team. Preparing a portfolio of relevant infrastructure or hardware projects strengthens your candidacy significantly.
Which visa types does Crunchyroll sponsor for Mechanical Engineer roles?
Crunchyroll sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT for Mechanical Engineer positions. The right visa depends on your nationality and current status. Australian citizens are strong candidates for the E-3 pathway, Canadian and Mexican citizens may qualify for TN, and current students or recent graduates can use OPT or CPT to start work while a longer-term petition is prepared.
What qualifications does Crunchyroll expect for Mechanical Engineer roles?
Crunchyroll's mechanical engineering positions typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering or a closely related field, which also satisfies the specialty occupation requirement for H-1B and E-3 petitions. Hands-on experience with facilities systems, hardware deployment, or physical production environments is relevant given Crunchyroll's studio and infrastructure footprint in media and entertainment.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Crunchyroll Mechanical Engineer role?
Timeline depends on the visa type. F-1 OPT can be activated within weeks if your EAD is already approved. E-3 and TN petitions can often be processed within a few weeks through consular or port-of-entry channels. H-1B cap petitions filed in March have an October 1 start date, creating a six-month gap. USCIS premium processing is available for H-1B and can reduce USCIS review to 15 business days.
