Align Your Certifications to Deloitte's Practice Areas
Deloitte organizes cybersecurity work around specific practices: cyber risk, cloud security, and zero trust architecture. Credentials like CISSP, CISM, or cloud security certifications tied to those areas signal direct fit before your resume even reaches a recruiter.
Target Roles That Clear Specialty Occupation Thresholds
Consulting firms face USCIS scrutiny on specialty occupation determinations for cybersecurity titles. Roles with explicit degree requirements in computer science, information security, or a related technical field hold up far better than broadly scoped analyst positions during H-1B adjudication.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Active Cybersecurity Openings
Deloitte posts cybersecurity roles across practice lines and geographic offices, and openings move quickly. Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsorship-eligible positions so you're applying to roles where the sponsorship pathway is already confirmed, not guessing from a general careers page.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope During Recruiter Screening
Deloitte sponsors multiple visa types including H-1B, E-3, and employment-based Green Cards. Ask your recruiter early which categories apply to your role and seniority level so you understand whether PERM-based permanent residency is part of the longer-term path before accepting an offer.
Prepare for Security Clearance Compatibility Questions
Deloitte serves federal and defense clients, and some cybersecurity roles require or prefer candidates who can obtain a U.S. security clearance. Non-citizens can hold certain clearance levels, but confirm eligibility with your recruiter before investing time in federal-facing practice tracks.
Time Your Application Around Deloitte's Fiscal Year Hiring Cycles
Deloitte's fiscal year runs June through May, with the heaviest consulting hiring concentrated in fall and early spring. Submitting applications between September and February positions you to receive an offer well ahead of the H-1B cap registration window, which opens in March.

Find Cybersecurity at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Cybersecurity roles?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for cybersecurity professionals. The firm has a dedicated immigration team that manages the filing process, including the annual USCIS cap registration in March. Because cybersecurity roles at Deloitte involve specialized technical work tied to a specific degree field, they generally satisfy the specialty occupation requirement that USCIS evaluates during adjudication.
How do I apply for Cybersecurity jobs at Deloitte?
Apply directly through Deloitte's careers portal or browse verified sponsorship-eligible openings on Migrate Mate. Deloitte's cybersecurity roles are organized by practice area, so identifying which team aligns with your background, whether that's cyber risk advisory, cloud security, or identity and access management, before applying will help you tailor your materials and get routed to the right recruiter.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly sponsor for Cybersecurity positions?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for most international cybersecurity hires and also files E-3 petitions for Australian citizens. For longer-term employees, Deloitte supports employment-based Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 and EB-3 classifications, which typically require a PERM labor certification filed with the DOL. The visa type offered depends on your role, seniority level, and nationality.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for Cybersecurity roles?
Most cybersecurity roles at Deloitte require a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a closely related field. Beyond the degree, Deloitte looks for industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security Plus, along with experience in one or more of its core practice areas: cloud security, cyber risk management, threat detection, or regulatory compliance. Senior roles often expect prior consulting experience.
How does the H-1B sponsorship timeline work when joining Deloitte?
If you're already in the U.S. on a valid status such as OPT, Deloitte can file an H-1B cap registration on your behalf each March. If selected in the lottery, USCIS opens petitions for filing starting April 1, with an October 1 start date. Deloitte's immigration team coordinates the process internally, but you should confirm your current status end date and OPT extension eligibility early so there are no gaps in your work authorization during the transition.
