Align your resume to retail metrics
Dollar General evaluates Account Managers on territory performance, vendor relationships, and sales growth. Frame your experience around measurable outcomes like revenue targets and account retention rates, not just responsibilities.
Target Dollar General's vendor-facing openings
Account Manager postings at Dollar General often sit within their merchandising or supplier partnerships divisions. Filtering by those business units increases your odds of landing a role with a defined sponsorship pathway rather than a regional generalist position.
Confirm LCA filing before accepting an offer
Before signing, verify that Dollar General has filed a Labor Condition Application with the DOL for your specific role and work location. The LCA must be certified before any H-1B petition can be submitted to USCIS.
Time your application around H-1B cap registration
If you need a new H-1B, USCIS opens cap registration in March for an October 1 start date. Targeting Dollar General Account Manager roles in Q4 of the prior year gives your employer enough lead time to register you.
Browse Dollar General Account Manager openings on Migrate Mate
Filtering by role and sponsor history helps you prioritize applications. Migrate Mate surfaces Dollar General Account Manager postings alongside their sponsorship track record, so you can apply to openings where visa support is already established.

Find Account Manager at Dollar General JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Dollar General sponsor H-1B visas for Account Managers?
Yes, Dollar General sponsors H-1B visas for Account Manager roles. The process requires your employer to file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting a petition to USCIS. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, Dollar General can file an H-1B transfer without waiting for the annual cap lottery.
How do I apply for Account Manager jobs at Dollar General?
You can apply directly through Dollar General's careers portal, filtering by job family or business unit to find Account Manager openings. For a faster way to identify roles where sponsorship has been confirmed, browse Migrate Mate, which surfaces Dollar General postings alongside their visa sponsorship track record so you can prioritize applications strategically.
Which visa types does Dollar General commonly use for Account Manager roles?
Dollar General sponsors H-1B visas most commonly for Account Manager positions, along with TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. The company also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students in work-authorized status, and files PERM labor certifications for EB-2 and EB-3 green card pathways for longer-tenured employees.
What qualifications does Dollar General expect for Account Manager roles?
Most Account Manager openings at Dollar General require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, along with experience in account management, retail merchandising, or vendor relations. Familiarity with category management, planogram execution, or CPG supplier dynamics is a strong differentiator. Roles are typically tied to specific product categories or regional territories.
How do I plan my timeline if I need sponsorship for an Account Manager role?
If you need a new H-1B, plan for an October 1 employment start date, which means securing an offer and completing USCIS registration in March. If you're on OPT with time remaining, Dollar General can employ you while the H-1B petition is pending. TN visa holders can often start faster since TN status can be obtained at a port of entry without USCIS pre-approval.
