Frame your credentials for retail procurement
Dollar General's procurement function is deeply retail-specific, so highlight experience with vendor negotiations, cost reduction, and supply chain management in consumer goods or discount retail. A supply chain or business degree strengthens your specialty occupation case for H-1B filing.
Target Dollar General's Goodlettsville headquarters roles
Most Procurement Manager positions are based at Dollar General's corporate headquarters in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. Targeting roles at the corporate level, rather than regional offices, puts you closest to the hiring managers who coordinate visa sponsorship approvals with HR.
Browse open roles through Migrate Mate
Dollar General posts Procurement Manager openings across multiple sourcing categories. Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsorship-eligible roles and track which positions are actively hiring, so you're applying to openings where sponsorship is already on the table.
Start PERM preparation early for permanent residence
Dollar General sponsors Green Cards through the PERM labor certification process for procurement professionals. DOL's prevailing wage determination and the recruitment period can take a year or more, so raise Green Card interest with HR during the offer stage, not after onboarding.
Clarify F-1 OPT or CPT timing before accepting an offer
If you're on F-1 status, confirm whether Dollar General will cover the transition from OPT to H-1B before your OPT period expires. The H-1B cap-subject lottery runs once per year, so a misaligned start date can leave a 60-day gap that requires careful planning.
Negotiate LCA prevailing wage alignment during offer discussions
Before signing an offer, verify the job title and location match what Dollar General files on the Labor Condition Application with DOL. A title change or work-site shift after filing can trigger an amended LCA, delaying your H-1B approval and pushing your start date back.

Find Procurement Manager at Dollar General JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Dollar General sponsor H-1B visas for Procurement Managers?
Yes, Dollar General sponsors H-1B visas for Procurement Manager roles. The H-1B is the most common pathway for international candidates in this function because procurement qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a related bachelor's degree or higher. Sponsorship is typically discussed during the offer stage, and your job title and worksite must align with what Dollar General files on the Labor Condition Application with DOL.
How do I apply for Procurement Manager jobs at Dollar General?
Apply directly through Dollar General's careers portal or browse open roles on Migrate Mate, which filters for positions where visa sponsorship is available. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect retail procurement experience, vendor management, and cost optimization. If you need sponsorship, address it early in the recruiter conversation so Dollar General can loop in HR and legal before an offer is extended.
Which visa types does Dollar General commonly sponsor for Procurement Manager roles?
Dollar General sponsors H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT for Procurement Manager positions, and offers permanent residence pathways through EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship via PERM labor certification. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management roles. The right visa depends on your nationality, current immigration status, and career stage.
What qualifications does Dollar General expect for a sponsored Procurement Manager role?
Dollar General typically looks for a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, finance, or a related field, along with direct experience in procurement, vendor negotiation, or category management. Retail or consumer goods experience is a strong differentiator. For H-1B sponsorship, your degree must directly relate to the specific duties of the Procurement Manager role as USCIS evaluates it.
How do I know when to raise visa sponsorship during the Dollar General hiring process?
Raise sponsorship requirements after a recruiter screens you but before a formal offer is made. Dollar General's corporate HR team coordinates immigration filings, so the earlier you disclose your needs, the smoother the timeline. If you're on OPT, flag your expiration date upfront so Dollar General can assess whether an H-1B cap filing in the next April lottery cycle is feasible for your start date.
