Target MRO and technical roles
Duncan Aviation's sponsorship activity centers on skilled aviation positions in maintenance, repair, and overhaul. Focusing your application on technical roles, avionics, airframe, or engine specialists, aligns with where the company has historically supported international talent.
Understand the Green Card pathway
Duncan Aviation's sponsorship leans toward permanent residence through EB-2 or EB-3 categories. If you're seeking long-term U.S. work authorization rather than a temporary visa, this makes Duncan Aviation a more relevant target than companies focused solely on H-1B filings.
Leverage F-1 OPT and CPT as your entry point
Duncan Aviation sponsors F-1 OPT and CPT, which means students in aviation-related programs can gain hands-on MRO experience before pursuing permanent sponsorship. Getting in through an internship or OPT placement is a practical first step.
Consider J-1 exchange opportunities
Duncan Aviation also supports J-1 visa holders, often through training programs. If you're early in your career and looking to build U.S. aviation experience, a J-1 placement at an MRO of this caliber can strengthen a future permanent sponsorship case.
Apply early and demonstrate specialized expertise
Duncan Aviation sponsors selectively, so applications that clearly demonstrate specialized aviation skills, FAA certifications, airframe and powerplant licensure, or avionics experience, stand out. Generic applications are less likely to trigger a sponsorship conversation with hiring managers.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified openings
Duncan Aviation doesn't advertise sponsorship prominently in every job listing. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and identify Duncan Aviation roles where international candidates have been supported before.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Duncan Aviation sponsor H-1B visas?
Based on available sponsorship data, Duncan Aviation does not have a strong track record of H-1B visa sponsorship. The company's international hiring has focused primarily on Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3 categories, as well as F-1 OPT, CPT, and J-1 visa programs. If H-1B visa sponsorship is your primary requirement, it's worth confirming directly with Duncan Aviation's HR team before applying.
What visa types does Duncan Aviation sponsor?
Duncan Aviation sponsors Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based immigrant visa categories, along with F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and J-1 exchange visitor visas. This mix suggests the company is open to both students and experienced professionals, but leans toward permanent residence sponsorship rather than temporary work visas.
Which roles at Duncan Aviation are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Duncan Aviation is most common in technical aviation roles tied to the company's core MRO business, think avionics technicians, airframe mechanics, engine specialists, and related engineering positions. These are the roles where specialized skills are hardest to source domestically, making sponsorship a practical business decision for the company.
How do I find open jobs at Duncan Aviation that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate tracks Duncan Aviation's verified sponsorship history and surfaces open roles where international candidates are eligible to apply. Rather than sifting through job listings that don't disclose sponsorship status, you can filter directly by sponsor and visa type to find Duncan Aviation positions that match your situation.
How do I time my application to Duncan Aviation for the best chance of sponsorship?
Because Duncan Aviation sponsors primarily through Green Card categories rather than H-1B, your timeline isn't tied to the April H-1B lottery. Applications can be submitted year-round. However, the EB-2 and EB-3 processes are multi-year commitments, so the sooner you engage with the company and confirm sponsorship intent, the earlier your priority date gets established.
