Eliot is seeking a dedicated Stabilization Specialist to join our Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC). Eliot’s innovative CBHC program serves as a single entry point for mental health and substance use services for youth, families, and adults. As a Stabilization Specialist, you will be responsible for providing supportive stabilization services to clients/families in the community in need of crisis support and community stabilization. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to recovery-oriented services and will possess excellent communication, crisis management, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide crisis support and side by side interventions to clients that focus on problem solving, skills training, modeling behavior, optimism, and encouragement.
- Provide interventions in the office, virtually, in the community, and in client’s residences based on client preference, client need, and at the clinical direction of the urgent care team.
- Provide and support mobile crisis interventions, stabilization, planning, and evaluations.
- Provide follow up and follow along supports as part of short-term treatment planning, stabilization, and urgent care.
- Provide short term case management supports including: managing income, insurance, other entitlements, accessing other services and community resources, and scheduling/coordination of all medical and psychiatric appointments.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, documentation, and insurance verification within the established timeframes.
Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field
- Experience working with adults, families, or children with severe and persistent mental illness and/or emotional disturbances.
- Valid Massachusetts drivers license and reliable transportation
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 3:00pm-11:00pm
Hourly Rate: $25.48 USD - $25.48 USD
