Align your background with HR tech stacks
Entegee builds and supports HR and workforce management systems, so frame your experience around relevant platforms and integrations. Engineers with exposure to HRIS, payroll software, or enterprise SaaS tools stand out in this hiring context.
Confirm the role qualifies as a specialty occupation
For H-1B eligibility, USCIS requires the position to normally demand a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Software Engineer roles typically satisfy this, but verify the job description specifies your degree field to avoid petition complications.
Target Entegee's open roles through Migrate Mate
Entegee posts Software Engineer openings across multiple locations. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Entegee roles that include H-1B sponsorship, so you're not spending time on listings that won't move forward for visa candidates.
Get your credentials evaluated before applying
If your software engineering degree is from outside the United States, obtain a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved agency before you apply. Entegee's HR tech environment often involves client-facing compliance work where credential clarity speeds up the H-1B filing process.
Understand the LCA filing timeline before your offer
Your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting your H-1B petition to USCIS. LCA certification typically takes seven business days, so factor that into your expected start date when negotiating your offer.
Use cap-gap protection if you're transitioning from OPT
If you're on OPT and your H-1B is filed before your EAD expires, cap-gap protection extends your work authorization through September 30 of that year. Confirm your OPT expiry and file date with Entegee's HR team to avoid any gap in authorization.

Does Entegee sponsor H-1B visas for Software Engineers?
Yes, Entegee sponsors H-1B visas for Software Engineer roles. The company operates in the HR technology and workforce management space, and software engineering functions fall within the specialty occupation standard USCIS requires for H-1B eligibility. If sponsorship is a requirement for you, confirm it explicitly with the recruiter early in the process.
How do I apply for Software Engineer jobs at Entegee?
You can browse and apply for Entegee's Software Engineer openings directly through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles that include H-1B sponsorship. From there, applications typically route through Entegee's recruiting team. Having a resume that reflects experience with HR technology platforms or enterprise software will strengthen your candidacy for roles in this vertical.
Which visa types are commonly used for Software Engineer roles at Entegee?
H-1B is the primary visa used for Software Engineers at Entegee. This category covers specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific technical field. If you're currently on F-1 OPT, you can work while your H-1B petition is pending, provided your employer files before your OPT expires and cap-gap protection applies.
What qualifications does Entegee expect for Software Engineer roles?
Entegee's Software Engineer positions typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field. Given the company's HR tech focus, experience with enterprise application development, APIs, or workforce management platforms is relevant. For H-1B purposes, your degree should directly align with the technical duties described in the job posting.
How do I understand the H-1B filing timeline when starting at Entegee?
The standard H-1B cap process opens for registration in March, with employment starting no earlier than October 1 of the same year. Your employer files the Labor Condition Application with the DOL first, then submits the I-129 petition to USCIS. Premium processing is available if you need a faster adjudication decision, typically within 15 business days.
