Align Your Engineering Credentials to Staffing Placements
Entegee operates as a staffing firm, so your resume needs to reflect adaptability across client environments, not just one employer. Highlight project-based experience and the range of industries or systems you've supported, since that's what drives placement decisions.
Clarify the Employer of Record Structure Early
In staffing arrangements, Entegee files the H-1B as the employer of record, not the end client. Confirm this before your interview, because your petition's job duties must match the work you'll actually perform at the client site.
Request LCA Details Before Accepting an Offer
Ask Entegee which prevailing wage level the Labor Condition Application will be filed under. DOL wage levels directly affect your offered salary's compliance, and a mismatch between your role's complexity and the wage level can create problems at adjudication.
Target Entegee's Active Engineering Requisitions Precisely
Entegee fills roles across manufacturing, defense, and industrial sectors. Use Migrate Mate to filter open engineering positions at Entegee by role type, so you're applying to requisitions that match your specialty rather than blanketing a broad category.
Prepare for Potential Third-Party Worksite Documentation
USCIS scrutinizes H-1B petitions where the sponsored employee works at a client's location. Entegee will need to provide an itinerary or work order confirming the assignment details. Know your project scope and expected duration before the petition is filed.
Time Your Application Around the H-1B Cap Window
Cap-subject H-1B registrations open each March for an October 1 start date. If you're on OPT, confirm your STEM extension eligibility with your DSO well before the registration window so Entegee can submit your registration without a gap in work authorization.

Does Entegee sponsor H-1B visas for Engineers?
Yes, Entegee sponsors H-1B visas for engineering roles. As a staffing and technical services firm, Entegee acts as the employer of record on H-1B petitions, meaning they file and hold the petition even when you're placed at a client site. Confirming that sponsorship is available for a specific requisition before you apply is the right first step.
How do I apply for Engineering jobs at Entegee?
You can browse and apply for engineering positions at Entegee directly through Migrate Mate, which aggregates Entegee's open roles and filters by visa sponsorship availability. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect the specific engineering discipline the role requires, whether that's mechanical, electrical, or industrial, since Entegee places across multiple technical verticals.
Which visa types are commonly used for Engineering roles at Entegee?
The H-1B is the primary visa used for engineering roles at Entegee. Engineering positions in fields like mechanical, electrical, and industrial engineering typically qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards, which is the core requirement for H-1B eligibility. If you're already on OPT or a STEM extension, Entegee can sponsor your H-1B during the annual cap registration period each March.
What qualifications does Entegee expect for sponsored Engineering positions?
Entegee's engineering roles generally require a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering field, such as mechanical, electrical, civil, or industrial engineering. Because these positions are placed at client sites across manufacturing and technical industries, hands-on project experience and familiarity with industry-specific tools or standards strengthens your candidacy significantly beyond the degree requirement alone.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take when working with a staffing firm like Entegee?
If you're subject to the H-1B cap, the process runs on a fixed federal timeline: registration in March, lottery results by late March or April, and a petition filing window with an October 1 start date. USCIS standard processing takes three to five months, though premium processing reduces that to roughly 15 business days. Staffing firms like Entegee need confirmed client placement before filing, so your assignment details must be settled before the petition goes in.
