Align Your Portfolio to EPAM's Delivery Model
EPAM wins business through consulting-led software delivery, so document architecture work tied to client outcomes, not just internal systems. Case studies showing cloud migration, platform modernization, or solution design for external clients translate directly to what EPAM's hiring teams evaluate.
Target Roles in EPAM's Growth Verticals
EPAM staffs Solutions Architects heavily in financial services, life sciences, and retail technology. Framing your experience around one of these verticals in your resume and cover letter increases your relevance to the specific business units that are actively backfilling roles.
Clarify Your OPT or Grace Period Timeline Early
If you're on F-1 OPT, EPAM's recruiters need to know your authorization end date at the first conversation. A 60-day grace period does not extend work authorization, so bring precise dates and confirm whether STEM OPT extension applies to your degree before the offer stage.
Understand How EPAM Structures H-1B Petitions for This Role
Solutions Architect at EPAM typically qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards because the role requires a specific technical degree. Verify that the job description your recruiter shares explicitly lists a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field as a requirement, not a preference.
Confirm PERM Eligibility Before Accepting an Offer
If a Green Card through EB-2 or EB-3 is part of your long-term plan, ask your EPAM recruiter whether the Solutions Architect role supports PERM sponsorship. Not every position or employment type within EPAM qualifies, and confirming this before signing avoids a mismatch after onboarding.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open Roles with Sponsorship History
Searching for Solutions Architect openings across a large employer like EPAM is faster when filtered by sponsorship track record. Use Migrate Mate to browse verified open roles at EPAM and identify which positions have active sponsorship before you apply.

Find Solutions Architect at EPAM Systems JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does EPAM Systems sponsor H-1B visas for Solutions Architects?
Yes, EPAM Systems sponsors H-1B visas for Solutions Architects. The role typically meets the USCIS specialty occupation standard because it requires a specific technical degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. EPAM has a consistent pattern of sponsoring international hires in technical and pre-sales architecture functions, making it a credible target for H-1B candidates.
Which visa types does EPAM Systems commonly sponsor for Solutions Architect roles?
EPAM supports several visa categories for Solutions Architects, including H-1B, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and F-1 OPT and CPT for current students. For longer-term immigration goals, EPAM also sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through PERM labor certification. The right visa type depends on your nationality, current status, and how long you've been in the U.S.
What qualifications and experience does EPAM Systems expect for a Solutions Architect role?
EPAM typically looks for Solutions Architects with a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related discipline, combined with hands-on experience designing enterprise-scale systems. Client-facing experience matters significantly at EPAM given its consulting model. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and experience in at least one of EPAM's core verticals, strengthens your candidacy considerably.
How do I apply for Solutions Architect jobs at EPAM Systems?
You can apply directly through EPAM's careers portal or find verified open roles on Migrate Mate, which filters by sponsorship eligibility. Before applying, tailor your resume to reflect client-facing architecture work and specify your current visa status and authorization timeline. EPAM's technical recruiting process typically includes an initial screen, a technical interview focused on architecture design, and stakeholder discussions, so prepare to walk through past solution designs in detail.
How do I time my H-1B sponsorship process if I'm currently on OPT at EPAM?
If you're working at EPAM on F-1 OPT, your employer must file your H-1B petition by April 1 for the October 1 cap start date, meaning you need to be registered in the USCIS lottery by mid-March. If you hold a STEM degree, a STEM OPT extension gives you up to 24 additional months of work authorization, which provides a critical buffer if you miss one lottery cycle. Coordinate your timeline with EPAM's immigration team well before your OPT expiration.
