Frame your experience around freight operations
Flexport's Supply Chain Operations roles center on ocean, air, and trucking freight coordination. Highlight hands-on experience with carrier management, customs brokerage workflows, or freight forwarding systems rather than generic supply chain planning or procurement background.
Confirm OPT eligibility before applying
If you're on F-1 OPT, verify your STEM extension eligibility and remaining authorized period before submitting. Flexport is E-Verify enrolled, so your employment authorization will be confirmed through that system from day one.
Target roles that map to your visa category
H-1B sponsorship for Supply Chain Operations typically requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards. Roles with defined analytical or technology components, like network optimization or trade compliance, tend to meet that threshold more cleanly than generalist coordinator positions.
Search open roles through Migrate Mate
Filter Supply Chain Operations openings at Flexport by visa type using Migrate Mate. This lets you see which roles have active sponsorship history, so you apply to positions already aligned with your authorization status rather than finding out after the interview.
Prepare your credentials for PERM documentation early
If your goal is an EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card through Flexport, the DOL PERM process requires documented proof of your qualifications. Gather foreign degree equivalency evaluations and employment verification letters before your offer stage, not after.
Understand the H-1B timeline relative to your start date
Cap-subject H-1B petitions filed in April have an October 1 start date. If Flexport extends an offer in summer, confirm whether they'll file a cap-exempt petition, bridge your OPT, or adjust the start date accordingly to avoid a gap in work authorization.

Find Supply Chain Operations at Flexport JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Flexport sponsor H-1B visas for Supply Chain Operations?
Yes, Flexport sponsors H-1B visas for Supply Chain Operations roles where the position qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS criteria. Roles with a defined analytical, technology, or trade compliance component typically meet this standard. Generalist coordinator positions may face more scrutiny, so reviewing the specific job description before applying is worthwhile.
How do I apply for Supply Chain Operations jobs at Flexport?
You can browse open Supply Chain Operations positions at Flexport directly through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm your authorization status is supported before applying. From there, applications are submitted through Flexport's careers portal. Tailoring your resume to freight operations and logistics technology will strengthen your candidacy.
Which visa types does Flexport sponsor for Supply Chain Operations roles?
Flexport sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Supply Chain Operations roles and supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates. For candidates pursuing long-term work authorization, Flexport has a track record of sponsoring EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based Green Card petitions. TN visa holders in eligible professional categories under the USMCA may also be considered.
What qualifications does Flexport expect for Supply Chain Operations roles?
Most Supply Chain Operations roles at Flexport require a bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field. Practical experience with freight forwarding, customs processes, or logistics platforms like TMS or ERP systems is valued. For H-1B sponsorship specifically, the role must require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards.
How do I plan the timeline for H-1B sponsorship at Flexport?
If you need cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, Flexport would register you during the March lottery window for an October 1 start date. If you're on F-1 OPT expiring before October, confirm whether your STEM extension covers the gap. USCIS premium processing, which currently runs 15 business days, can accelerate approval if your start date is time-sensitive.
