Target roles at the intersection of tech and logistics
Flexport blends software engineering with global freight operations. Roles in software development, data engineering, and product management sit at that intersection, and are among the positions most likely to receive H-1B sponsorship consideration at the company.
Understand Flexport's OPT and CPT hiring history
Flexport has sponsored F-1 OPT and CPT candidates, signaling openness to students transitioning from campus to full-time roles. If you're on OPT, position your application early, before your authorization window shortens and timeline pressure increases.
Canadian and Mexican nationals should flag TN eligibility
Flexport sponsors TN visas, which process faster than H-1B and don't require lottery selection. If you're eligible, make this clear in your application, it removes one of the biggest concerns employers have about international hires.
Focus on operations and supply chain roles, not just engineering
Flexport's logistics model means operations, freight brokerage, and supply chain roles are core to its business, not just tech headcount. Candidates with backgrounds in those areas shouldn't assume sponsorship is limited to software engineering teams.
Research Flexport's verified sponsorship history before applying
Applying without knowing a company's actual sponsorship record wastes time. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, confirm Flexport's track record and find open roles in one place.
Prepare for a structured, multi-stage interview process
Flexport typically runs multi-round interviews covering technical skills, operational thinking, and culture fit. Logistics-specific case interviews are common for supply chain roles. Starting early gives you time to research the company's freight model before your first round.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Flexport sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Flexport sponsors H-1B visas and has a consistent track record of doing so. The company has supported H-1B petitions across technical and operational roles. If you're targeting Flexport on an H-1B pathway, focus on roles where your degree field directly aligns with the job requirements, as specialty occupation is a core H-1B criterion.
Which visa types does Flexport sponsor?
Flexport sponsors H-1B, Green Card (EB-2 and EB-3), F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas. This range indicates meaningful investment in international hiring across multiple status types, from students on OPT to experienced professionals seeking permanent residence. TN eligibility is particularly valuable if you're Canadian or Mexican, as it bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely.
Which departments or roles at Flexport are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Flexport tends to concentrate in software engineering, data science, and product roles, reflecting its technology-forward approach to freight logistics. That said, Flexport's core business is supply chain and global trade, so operations, freight, and logistics roles also represent real sponsorship opportunities, especially for candidates with specialized backgrounds in those fields.
How do I find open jobs at Flexport that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lists verified visa-sponsoring employers, including Flexport, so you can browse open roles filtered by sponsorship history. This removes the guesswork of identifying which positions are realistically open to international candidates. Search by visa type, role, or company to find Flexport listings alongside other confirmed sponsors in the transportation and logistics space.
How do I time my application to Flexport around the H-1B lottery?
If you need H-1B sponsorship, target a start date that allows Flexport to file a petition before the April 1 registration window. Employers must register in March for the following October 1 start date. Initiating conversations with hiring managers in the fall or early winter gives both sides time to align before that deadline, and allows for premium processing if your timeline is tight.
