Target roles that align with gene therapy expertise
Forge Biologics focuses on AAV-based gene therapies, so roles in process development, analytical sciences, and manufacturing are core to the business. International candidates with specialized biologics or cell and gene therapy backgrounds are the strongest fit for sponsored positions.
Understand which visa types Forge Biologics supports
Forge Biologics sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visas. If you're on OPT or CPT, you may be able to start before an H-1B is filed, which broadens your options and gives you a practical pathway into the company.
Apply before H-1B lottery season to secure OPT-based entry
For F-1 students, timing matters. Getting hired while on OPT allows Forge Biologics to transition you to H-1B status in the next lottery cycle. Starting the conversation early gives you the best chance of a smooth visa transition.
Emphasize highly specialized technical skills in your application
In biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, visa sponsorship is most likely for roles requiring niche expertise. Highlight skills in areas like upstream or downstream bioprocessing, quality assurance, or regulatory affairs, disciplines where specialized foreign talent is actively recruited in the gene therapy sector.
Search for Forge Biologics openings on a verified sponsorship platform
Not all job listings signal sponsorship willingness clearly. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, saving time you'd otherwise spend guessing which biotech employers will actually support your visa.
Be prepared to discuss your visa timeline with the hiring team
Biotechnology companies like Forge Biologics operate on project-driven timelines. Coming to interviews ready to explain your current status, work authorization end date, and what sponsorship steps are needed signals professionalism and makes the process easier for their HR team.
