Target roles tied to technical and operational functions
Fresh Express sponsorship has historically supported skilled positions within food production and agriculture. Focus your applications on technical, scientific, or operations roles where specialized expertise is harder to source domestically and sponsorship is more likely to be considered.
Understand that Fresh Express leans toward Green Card sponsorship
Fresh Express has shown a preference for permanent residency pathways over temporary work visas. If you're targeting a long-term immigration route, this aligns well, prioritize roles where the company can commit to sponsoring a Green Card from the outset.
Get familiar with EB-2 and EB-3 eligibility before applying
Fresh Express sponsors under EB-2 and EB-3 categories. Knowing which tier your qualifications support, advanced degree for EB-2, skilled worker for EB-3, lets you frame your application around the right pathway and signals immigration readiness to hiring managers.
Highlight industry-specific credentials in your application
Agriculture and food manufacturing require specialized knowledge. Candidates with backgrounds in food science, agricultural engineering, supply chain, or quality assurance will stand out, these are the disciplines where Fresh Express is most likely to justify the cost and effort of sponsorship.
Be upfront about your visa status early in the process
With a selective sponsorship approach, Fresh Express hiring teams need to assess sponsorship feasibility early. Raise your immigration needs in the first conversation rather than waiting, this avoids wasted time and signals that you understand how sponsorship works.
Use a platform that filters by verified sponsorship history
Because Fresh Express sponsors selectively, finding the right open role matters. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus on positions at Fresh Express where a sponsored hire has actually occurred before.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Fresh Express sponsor H-1B visas?
Based on available sponsorship data, Fresh Express does not have a track record of sponsoring H-1B visas. The company's immigration support has focused on permanent residency through Green Card sponsorship. If you're pursuing an H-1B, Fresh Express is unlikely to be the right target, consider roles where Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 aligns with your long-term plan.
What visa types does Fresh Express sponsor?
Fresh Express sponsors Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based immigrant visa categories. EB-2 is typically for roles requiring an advanced degree or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers skilled workers and professionals. These permanent residency pathways are the primary immigration route Fresh Express has used to retain foreign national employees.
Which departments or roles at Fresh Express are most likely to receive sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Fresh Express tends to be concentrated in technical and specialized functions rather than general administrative or entry-level roles. Positions in food science, agricultural operations, quality assurance, engineering, and supply chain are the strongest candidates, areas where the company would have genuine difficulty finding a qualified U.S. worker and can justify the sponsorship investment.
How do I find open jobs at Fresh Express that offer visa sponsorship?
The most reliable approach is to search specifically for Fresh Express roles on Migrate Mate, which tracks employers by verified sponsorship activity. This lets you identify current openings at Fresh Express where sponsorship has historically been part of the hiring process, rather than cold-applying and discovering late in the process that sponsorship isn't available for that role.
How do I approach the application timeline when targeting a Green Card through Fresh Express?
Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 is a multi-year process. The employer typically initiates a PERM labor certification, followed by an I-140 petition, then adjustment of status or consular processing, a timeline that can span two to five years or longer depending on your country of birth. Start conversations with hiring managers about sponsorship intent early, and be prepared to demonstrate long-term commitment to the role and company.
