Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Software Engineer Jobs at GoodLeap Jobs
Align your stack with fintech infrastructure needs
GoodLeap's engineering work centers on loan origination platforms, payment processing, and API integrations for lenders. Highlight backend systems experience, financial data pipelines, or compliance-adjacent tooling in your resume before you apply.
Confirm TN eligibility before your offer stage
TN status requires your role to map to a qualifying NAFTA category, typically Computer Systems Analyst or Engineer. Review the DOL occupation definition against GoodLeap's job description so you're not caught off guard during offer negotiation.
Target roles with clear specialty occupation language
H-1B approval depends on USCIS finding the role a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. GoodLeap postings that list degree requirements in computer science or software engineering explicitly give your petition a stronger foundation.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active GoodLeap openings
Engineering headcount at fintech companies shifts with product roadmaps and funding cycles. Search GoodLeap on Migrate Mate to find current Software Engineer listings filtered by sponsorship type so you're applying to live roles, not stale postings.
Prepare your credential evaluation before final interviews
If your computer science degree is from outside the United States, get a credential evaluation from a NACES-recognized agency before GoodLeap's offer stage. USCIS requires evidence that your foreign degree is equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's for H-1B specialty occupation determinations.

Find Software Engineer at GoodLeap JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does GoodLeap sponsor H-1B visas for Software Engineers?
Yes, GoodLeap has sponsored H-1B visas for Software Engineer roles. Because GoodLeap operates in fintech and sustainable home financing, engineering positions typically involve specialized systems work that supports a specialty occupation determination by USCIS. Your offer letter and job description should clearly reflect degree requirements in computer science or a related technical field to strengthen the petition.
Which visa types are commonly used for Software Engineer roles at GoodLeap?
GoodLeap has sponsored H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for engineering talent. OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates, while H-1B is the standard long-term path. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose role qualifies under USMCA occupation categories. Each visa type has different employer obligations, so clarify which applies to your situation during the offer stage.
How do I apply for Software Engineer jobs at GoodLeap?
Browse active Software Engineer openings at GoodLeap on Migrate Mate, where listings are filtered by sponsorship type so you can confirm your visa category is supported before applying. When you apply directly, tailor your resume to GoodLeap's fintech and clean energy lending context. Highlight experience with loan platforms, payment APIs, or financial compliance systems, since those align closely with what their engineering teams build.
What qualifications and experience does GoodLeap expect for Software Engineer roles?
GoodLeap's Software Engineer postings typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field. Hands-on experience with backend development, cloud infrastructure, or API-driven financial systems is commonly expected. Roles at the mid and senior level often require experience with high-availability systems or regulated data environments, which is consistent with fintech engineering work in lending and payments.
How do I time my H-1B petition if I'm on OPT and receive an offer from GoodLeap?
If you're on F-1 OPT and receive an offer, your employer needs to file your H-1B petition by April 1 for the October 1 start date under the standard cap cycle. If your OPT expires before October 1 and you're selected in the lottery, the cap-gap rule automatically extends your work authorization through September 30. Start conversations with GoodLeap's HR team about petition timing as early as January to avoid a gap in employment eligibility.
