Responsibilities
- Perform gynecological ultrasound examinations (no obstetrics) for conditions such as abnormal bleeding, pelvic pain, and IUD position checks.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound machines and related medical imaging devices with strict adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
- Accurately capture high-quality images for interpretation by the provider, ensuring comprehensive documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Assist in the diagnosis of women’s health conditions by applying specialized knowledge in gynecology diagnostics, and women’s health diagnostics.
- Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure a comfortable experience during imaging sessions.
- Maintain detailed records of procedures performed using Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for easy retrieval and review.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to interpret findings related to anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology practices for optimal patient care.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical imaging with proficiency in gynecology sonography techniques.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology knowledge, and diagnostic radiology principles relevant to women's health.
- Skilled in operating medical imaging equipment such as ultrasound machines and sanitizing equipment.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique standards to ensure patient safety during procedures.
- RDMS certification in OBGYN is required.
