Job Roles at Chewy
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Chewy Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target Technology and Data Roles First
Chewy's strongest Green Card sponsorship activity is concentrated in software engineering, data science, and IT infrastructure. These departments have the most consistent permanent residency filing history, making them the most reliable entry point for sponsored roles.
Understand the PERM Labor Certification Process
Green Card sponsorship at Chewy typically begins with PERM labor certification, where the company advertises your role to prove no qualified U.S. workers are available. This recruitment process adds months to your overall timeline before USCIS filing begins.
Raise Green Card Intent During Offer Negotiation
Chewy's HR and immigration teams are experienced with permanent residency planning. Bringing up Green Card sponsorship during offer discussions, not after onboarding, helps ensure the process is built into your employment agreement from day one.
Use Migrate Mate to Identify Verified Sponsorship Roles
Not every Chewy job listing will mention Green Card sponsorship explicitly. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus applications on roles where permanent residency support is most likely.
Plan Around Priority Date Backlogs If You Are From India or China
For EB-2 and EB-3 petitions, nationals from India and China face significant priority date backlogs. Starting the PERM process as early as possible at Chewy is critical, as the waiting period begins only once your priority date is established.
Leverage Chewy's Retail Scale for Corporate Function Sponsorship
Beyond engineering, Chewy's large corporate footprint in finance, marketing, supply chain, and HR means Green Card sponsorship extends to business professionals. Roles requiring specialized expertise in e-commerce operations are strong candidates for employer-sponsored petitions.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Chewy sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Chewy sponsors Green Card visas for qualifying employees. The company files permanent residence petitions primarily through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based categories. Sponsorship is most consistently available in technology, data, engineering, and corporate functions, and Chewy has established itself as a genuine long-term sponsor within the retail and e-commerce sector.
Which roles and departments at Chewy are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Software engineers, data scientists, machine learning engineers, and IT professionals represent the core of Chewy's Green Card sponsorship activity. Corporate roles in finance, supply chain, and operations are also sponsored when the position requires specialized qualifications. Roles that are difficult to fill with U.S. workers and require specific technical or professional expertise tend to be the strongest candidates.
How does the Green Card application process work at Chewy?
Chewy typically sponsors Green Cards through the PERM labor certification route. The company first completes a supervised recruitment process to document that no qualified U.S. workers are available, then files an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. Once approved and a visa number is available, the employee either applies for adjustment of status within the U.S. or goes through consular processing abroad.
How long does the Green Card process take when sponsored by Chewy?
The PERM labor certification and I-140 stages alone can take well over a year. For applicants born in countries without significant backlogs, the full process from PERM filing to Green Card approval often runs two to three years. Indian and Chinese nationals face considerably longer waits due to priority date backlogs in the EB-2 and EB-3 categories, sometimes extending many years beyond that.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Chewy that include sponsorship?
Chewy's careers page lists open positions but rarely specifies Green Card sponsorship eligibility upfront. Migrate Mate tracks verified employer sponsorship history so you can identify Chewy roles where permanent residency support is a realistic outcome, rather than applying broadly and raising the question later in the interview process.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Chewy?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
