SUMMARY
Headquartered in sunny Los Angeles, GrayMatter Robotics is a well-capitalized AI robotics startup serving the manufacturing industry. We empower shop floor workers with our smart robots that assist with tedious and ergonomically challenging tasks, specifically in automated surface finishing. Our proprietary GMR-AI™ software is integrated with state-of-the-art industrial robots, sensors, and tools to create application-specific turnkey solutions for customers through a Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS) model.
We help manufacturers improve the quality of life for their workforce while increasing production capacity, and reducing scrap, repair, and rework costs. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will join our Design & Mechatronics team onsite in our Carson, CA office to explore, develop and test novel systems in house for implementation in the field.

Job Roles at GrayMatter Robotics
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in GrayMatter Robotics Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target technical roles with specialized skill requirements
GrayMatter Robotics builds AI-driven robotic systems, so roles requiring deep expertise in machine learning, computer vision, or robotics software are the most likely to qualify for Green Card sponsorship through the EB-2 or EB-3 employment-based categories.
Start the conversation during the offer stage
Green Card sponsorship at technology companies is typically discussed during final offer negotiations. Ask directly whether the role is eligible for permanent residence sponsorship and which category, rather than assuming sponsorship will be offered automatically after joining.
Understand the PERM labor certification process
Most Green Card sponsorships at technology firms begin with PERM, where the employer must demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers are available. This process requires employer-led recruitment and precise documentation, so aligning your role description with your actual duties is critical from day one.
Use Migrate Mate to verify sponsorship history before applying
Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you confirm GrayMatter Robotics has sponsored Green Cards before you invest time in the application process. Target roles that match the company's core technology and software hiring areas.
Build your case for EB-2 if you hold an advanced degree
GrayMatter Robotics operates in a research-intensive field where advanced degrees carry weight. If you hold a master's or PhD in a relevant discipline, you may qualify for EB-2 sponsorship, which can offer advantages over EB-3 depending on your country of birth and priority dates.
Demonstrate long-term value to strengthen your sponsorship case
Technology companies are most likely to sponsor Green Cards for employees they see as irreplaceable contributors. Taking on visible, high-impact projects in robotics or AI systems development at GrayMatter Robotics strengthens the internal business case for your permanent residence sponsorship.

Does GrayMatter Robotics sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, GrayMatter Robotics sponsors Green Card visas for qualified employees. As a technology and software company focused on AI-powered robotics, it sponsors permanent residence primarily for specialized technical roles. Sponsorship is typically employer-initiated and tied to specific positions rather than offered to all employees, so it is worth confirming eligibility during the hiring process.
Which roles at GrayMatter Robotics are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at GrayMatter Robotics is most commonly associated with technical positions in software engineering, robotics, machine learning, and computer vision. These roles require specialized skills that align with employment-based Green Card categories, particularly EB-2 and EB-3. Research and development positions tend to have the strongest business case for permanent residence sponsorship.
How does the Green Card application process work at GrayMatter Robotics?
The process typically begins with PERM labor certification, where GrayMatter Robotics must conduct a formal recruitment process and file documentation with the Department of Labor. Once PERM is approved, the company files an I-140 immigrant petition on your behalf. After that, you either adjust status in the U.S. or complete consular processing, depending on your current visa status and priority date availability.
How long does it take to get a Green Card through GrayMatter Robotics?
The timeline depends heavily on your country of birth and the Green Card category. The PERM and I-140 stages together typically take one to two years. For applicants born in countries without significant backlogs, the full process can be completed within two to three years. For applicants born in India or China, priority date backlogs in the EB-2 and EB-3 categories can extend the timeline considerably.
How do I find Green Card jobs at GrayMatter Robotics?
Migrate Mate is a good starting point, as it aggregates roles from verified Green Card sponsors and lets you filter by company and visa type so you can identify active GrayMatter Robotics openings that align with your background. Focus on technical and engineering roles, review each job description carefully for sponsorship eligibility language, and reach out to the recruiting team directly to confirm Green Card sponsorship is available for the specific position.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at GrayMatter Robotics?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
