Get Your Hospitality Credentials Verified Early
Housekeeping roles at Hilton don't require a degree, but a formal certificate in hospitality or facilities maintenance strengthens your application. Get any international credentials translated and notarized before you start applying so you're not scrambling after an offer.
Target Hilton Properties With Seasonal Demand
H-2B sponsorship is tied to seasonal or temporary labor need, so focus your search on Hilton resort properties in high-traffic tourist destinations. These locations file H-2B petitions on a seasonal cycle, meaning openings are predictable and sponsorship is already built into their hiring plan.
Understand the H-2B Cap and Filing Windows
The H-2B program has a statutory annual cap, and slots fill fast. Hilton properties typically file petitions months before the intended start date, so apply well ahead of the season you want to work. Missing the filing window means waiting a full cycle.
Prepare for E-Verify Onboarding Requirements
Hilton participates in E-Verify, the federal employment eligibility system run by USCIS and DHS. Before your first day, have your work authorization documents organized and accurate. Any mismatch between your visa paperwork and your E-Verify submission can delay your start date.
Clarify the Employer-Paid Petition Process
Under DOL rules, H-2B employers bear the cost of the visa petition and must pay for return travel if the job ends early. Confirm with the Hilton property you're targeting that these terms are in your job order before you sign anything.
Browse Open Housekeeping Roles on Migrate Mate
Filtering for Hilton housekeeping positions that actively support H-2B sponsorship takes time if you're searching manually. Use Migrate Mate to find verified open roles at Hilton where sponsorship is already confirmed, so you're applying to positions with a real path to a visa.

Find Housekeeping at Hilton JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Hilton sponsor H-1B visas for Housekeeping roles?
No. H-1B visas are reserved for specialty occupations that require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific professional field. Housekeeping positions don't meet that threshold. Hilton sponsors H-2B visas for housekeeping and other hospitality support roles, which are designed precisely for temporary, non-agricultural workers in seasonal demand situations.
Which visa types does Hilton typically use for Housekeeping positions?
The H-2B nonimmigrant visa is the primary sponsorship route Hilton uses for housekeeping staff. It covers temporary or seasonal employment at hotel properties where there's a defined labor need that can't be met domestically. The H-2B requires a DOL-certified job order and an approved USCIS petition before you can begin work in the U.S.
What qualifications and experience does Hilton expect for Housekeeping roles?
Hilton typically looks for prior experience in hotel or commercial cleaning, attention to detail, and the physical stamina to manage a full room assignment load. Formal certifications aren't required, but familiarity with hospitality standards, laundry operations, and room inspection checklists makes candidates more competitive. English communication skills are an advantage, particularly at full-service and resort properties.
How do I apply for Housekeeping jobs at Hilton?
The most efficient way to find Hilton housekeeping openings where H-2B sponsorship is already in place is through Migrate Mate, which curates verified sponsorship roles so you're not guessing which properties are actively hiring. Once you identify a position, apply directly through Hilton's hiring process. From there, the property initiates the DOL job order and USCIS petition on your behalf.
How do I plan my timeline around the H-2B filing process at Hilton?
H-2B petitions must be filed with USCIS no more than 90 days before your intended start date, and DOL certification has to come first. For peak summer or winter seasons, Hilton properties typically begin this process several months out. Factor in consular processing time on top of that if you're applying from outside the U.S. Starting your job search at least four to six months before your target start date gives you a realistic buffer.
